Solitaire Homestead is a intimate escape in the heart of the South West Wine Region. Although you feel like a million miles away from it all, it is centrally located just 5 minutes from Dunsborough and 5 minutes from Yallingup.

The space

We are 110 acre property that is completely private from public view. Solitaire Homestead has a beautiful lake that is perfect for a good kayak or swim on a hot day. All guests are welcome to have a fish as well. Enjoy beautiful walks around the property and visit our beautiful friendly Dexter Cows and/or Sheep. We also rent out The shed apartment next door to the house. (out of view) There may be occasional cars passing through.

Interaction with guests

My Husband and I live on the property. We like to give our guests as much privacy as possible but from time to time our friendly dogs wonder over to say hello. We also pop in from time to time to bring you fresh eggs from the chicken coup if we have any and/or any fresh fruit and veg from our garden. We are also just a phone call away if you need a hand with something.

We had a fantastic stay at the Solitaire Homestead. A great place for our family of four - the kids loved sitting out on the verandah eating their dinner, running around the house and playing with Tilly, Chico and Roux. The place was cosy and warm on a winters evening especially with the fire lit. Would definitely stay again.

Stunning homestead in a beautiful part of the south west on an expansive property you’re free to explore with Kellies very friendly dogs. For summer or winter the homestead will be a fantastic place to call Home for a few days

We have a 9-month old Groodle puppy and it was such a bonus to have the owners' dog onsite, regularly seeking our dog for a play - he had an absolute ball, and the property was just a great playground for him. Doggie tips: * Great place for a tasty breakfast and your dog being loved by staff:Bunkers Beach House café * In bad weather, the Goanna Café has an undercover area outside and they will switch on the gas heater for you! We had some rain during our stay, but the boardgames, the fireplace and the large windows overlooking the beautiful property kept us entertained when confined away from the inclement weather. A lovely guesthouse, perfectly located and easy to access that will give you the rest you need in the South West.

Lovely place for a family to experience off-city living - where you're close to the stars and nature. Rooms were clean and amenities were present for us to use. Added bonus - having friendly dog to welcome you in the day and night when you return. Only negative was that we only stayed for two nights.
