Come and enjoy SAHC's Robinson Rough Preserve; 248 acres of the preserved mountain homestead with private walking trails, a pond, and a full-time caretaker to answer any questions. This hand-hewn cabin has been remodeled and renovated for your convenience and comfort! This is the peace and quiet you are looking for.

The space
The proceeds from your visit contribute to the future of land conservation in the mountains of Western North Carolina and East Tennessee, through the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy!

If you ever thought about "getting away from it all" this is it! The cabin is the perfect place to cozy up next to the electric "wood-burning stove" and watch a DVD in the evening and enjoy a hot chocolate while listening to the creek on the deck. This is a one bedroom (full bed) Cabin, with a loft (full Bed) and a single pull out futon. Take a bubble bath in our claw foot tub and experience pure relaxation! The two separate decks are the perfect space for relaxing. The cabin has heating, air-conditioning, and a fully stocked kitchen with all amenities needed.

This cabin is a nature immersion! Wifi and cell service is available once connected. We have a library of DVDs for evening movies but please bring your favorite ones!

Your pups are welcome to join you on your visit but there is a $70 associated fee for extra cleaning that may be needed! We do ask that you do not leave pets unattended during your stay. No motorized vehicles allowed on trail. There are walking trails, and feel free to explore the property. Bill, our onsite property manage, will be happy to provide you with information on the walking trails.

Other things to note
Our cabin is located in a rural wooded area. You may see some wildlife on the property and the occasional mountain critter making an appearance inside. (IE: spiders, ladybugs, and the occasional field mouse.)

During the summer months we are honored with the presence of North American Timber Rattlesnakes. These snakes typically live in the lower part of the property and habitat in the rocky outcroppings.
Although these snakes typically mean us no harm, we have provided for you gators to cover your ankles and calves. You can find these in the basket to the left of the front door.
Please avoid walking in high grass and climbing on rock outcroppings.

The SAHC Robinson Rough Preserve is a part of our Farmland Conservation Program. These 248 acres are part of a grouping of high elevation and farm land preservation in Sandy Mush Valley to protect wildlife habitat, clean water, and provide access to nature.

The double bedroom's bed is pushed up into a corner and is only accessible on one side. If two people share, one will need to crawl over. There is one bedside table stool for water, cpap machine etc.

About SAHC:
