We have been lucky enough to have lived in this house since June 1990 with our four children.
Riverton Mill Cottage is believed to be over 200 years old. It was the Miller’s house as well as the bakery, which was situated where the kitchen is now. Across the road is the Mill which was restored in the 1990s. It is a detached four bedroomed property with parking for 3 cars.
The cottage is situated in the hamlet of Riverton just outside the village of Swimbridge.

The space
There is a large airy kitchen come breakfast room; a cosy sitting room which can comfortably accommodate a large family, a separate dining room off which there is a relaxing conservatory which overlooks the fields behind the house.
Upstairs you will find 4 good sized bedrooms with ample cupboards and drawers for guests belongings. Also there are 2 good sized bathrooms, both with electric showers and one with a full sized bath.
Outside you will find a large lawn area behind the house is a mature garden, with steps leading down to a patio area with seating for 8 people and a gas fired barbecue.
A lovely holiday cottage for families to totally relax in and also to use as a base to visit the surrounding areas of North Devon.

Swimbridge is just over a mile away where you will find the Jack Russell pub named after the Reverend John Russell who bred the first and original Parson's Jack Russell.
There is a circular walk from the house, taking walkers behind the house and up to Tor Down before descending down into Swimbridge.
Riverton Mill Cottage is ideally situated for guests to visit all areas of North Devon, including Exmoor, Dartmoor, the North Devon Coast, including world famous beaches at Saunton, Woolacombe & Croyde
