A newly built shepherds hut on an organic farm situated on the Northumberland Coastal Route. Suitable for couples & young families. Uninterrupted views over the Northumberland Coastal AONB, Budle Bay & the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. An ideal base providing direct access to both coast & countryside. Hot water, electric shower, oven & hob cooking facilities. Private garden with rural and sea views. Private parking. PLEASE NOTE THE BUNK BEDS ONLY ACCOMODATE CHILDREN AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ADULTS

The space
Handcrafted, fully insulated and with double glazed windows, Lindisfarne Lookout is able to be enjoyed all year round. The hut has been designed and tastefully decorated to provide a high level of comfort for the duration of your stay, allowing you to experience nature in luxury.

The kitchen area provides an electric hob with 2 rings, an oven top oven/grill and an under the counter fridge/freezer. Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils are provided to enable you to cook your own meals, if you so wish. There is a table and 4 chairs inside the hut allowing you to dine inside if you wish.

The Double bedroom comprises a double bed with luxury mattress and cotton sheets. The bedroom benefits from a large window looking out towards Holy Island. There is hanging space for shirts and a wall mounted Freeview television.

The Children's room sleeps 2 and comprises a bunk bed, hanging space for clothes and a large window looking out towards Holy Island.

The bathroom is situated off the kitchen and provides an electric shower, flushing toilet and hand basin with hot water.

There are wall mounted electrical 3 pin plugs in each room along with USB plugs in the kitchen. There is central heating throughout the hut should this be needed in winter months.

The newly built veranda provides covered outside space which allows you to dine outside even if the weather is wet. The veranda accommodates a wood burning stove that is easy to light and provides extra warmth on the cooler nights. There is a fenced private lawn area for your exclusive use and private parking directly adjacent to the hut so you don't have far to carry your belongings.

Due to very little light pollution in this location, you will have the opportunity to witness the stars in the dark night sky.

Regretfully, the hut is not suitable for pets.

The location: Lindisfarne Lookout occupies an elevated position providing views stretching across open farmland to the spectacular Northumbrian coastline.

What to see/where to visit: The hut is ideally located as a base from which to explore Northumberlands many coastal attractions including The Holy Island of Lindisfarne which is accessed via a causeway from Beal, only a 10 minute drive away.

Coastal attractions: Budle Bay, Bamburgh Castle and beach, the seaside town of Seahouses and Beadnel Bay Harbour are all coastal destinations accessible within a 20 minute drive along the picturesque coastal driving route. These villages all provide a range of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. The Farne Island nature reserve is accessible by boat from Seahouses, here you can see seals, puffins, dolphins and many other sea birds.

Rural attractions: A 20 minute drive inland will take you to Chillingham Castle, Alnwick Castle, treehouse and gardens and the picturesque villages of Ford & Etal to name a few.

For the walkers: St Cuthberts Way walk can be joined from the nearby village of Belford and just a bit further inland, the Cheviot Hill range provides excellent walks and viewpoints from from which to take in 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape.

For the cyclists: The Sandstone Way cycle route is a fabulous way to see more of the area. There is secure storage available for your bike upon request should you require it.

City visits: The city of Edinburgh is easily accessible by being only 45 minutes away by train from Berwick Railway station. Newcastle can be accessed by car within one hour.

Shopping: The hut is situated approximately 3 miles from the village of Belford where you can pick up your every day essentials from from the village store. Alternatively a more extensive range of amenities, including large supermarkets, can be found in Berwick-upon-Tweed or Alnwick, both only a 20 minute drive away.

Eating out: From coffee shops to fish & chip take aways, to pub lunches, fine restaurants and everything in between, there are so many places to choose from in the various towns and villages near by so there is always something for everyone!
