The Coach House is a two bedroomed, listed building, set high above Barnstaple. It offers spacious accommodation for four people in a stylish, newly-converted stone building. The master bedroom boasts a four-poster bed and an en-suite bathroom. There is a Mediterranean courtyard garden with a hot tub as well as extensive garden space to explore. The property is within easy reach of the coast and benefits from being close to town and yet is set in private parkland. Parking and WiFi are provided

The space
The Coach house is surrounded by mature trees and is set in 7 acres of garden. Feel free to explore the gardens or take a seat on the bench at the top of the lawn and enjoy fabulous views and sunsets over the Taw estuary, towards the sea. A fire pit and BBQ are available for you to use during your stay.
The Coach House retains some wonderful original features such as gothic and semi-circular windows, which make the property really light and airy.
The large kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and it is very well equipped with everything you will need for a self-catering holiday, including a coffee machine.
The Master bedroom has a beautiful roof window, through which you can watch the stars at night, fitted with a remote controlled blind for you to use. There is an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower attachment.
The second bedroom is compact but equally as luxurious as the Master bedroom. It can be made up with twin beds or king size bed. It has French doors which can be opened to enjoy the fresh Devon air.
The Mediterranean courtyard garden is a wonderful private space in which to relax or eat al fresco. At night It is particularly atmospheric with solar lights and outdoor lanterns and its a real treat to have a soak in the hot-tub which is kept at a cosy 38 degrees. The marble tiled shower room on the ground floor, has under floor heating and is conveniently situated for showering after your dip. Spa robes are supplied to use during your stay and throws available to use when the sun goes down.

Devon, England, United Kingdom

Here are a few suggestions for walks and activities. Please ask if you have a particular interest and I’ll try to help.
Valley of the Rocks is part of the south west coast path. It is a spectacular walk. You start the walk from the centre of Lynton. After your walk you can drive down to Lynmouth and the pub, The Rising Sun does great food. You will probably need to book.
Another lovely walk is from Croyde bay to Putsborough. I would park at the National Trust car park at Baggy Point end. There is a tea room called ‘Sandleigh’ near the car park and there’s a cafe at Putsborough . The link below has this walk and some other great walks. Morte lighthouse walk is nice and you could pop into Watersmeet Hotel for lunch/ dinner. Views over the sea are beautiful.
Saunton beach is fabulous. You can have a surf lesson there. The one I’ve tried is called Surf-Saunton. It's very invigorating!
The "Beachside grill" is lovely but you need to book as it’s popular. You can sit overlooking the sea here too.
Clovelly is an amazing place but you have to pay to go down through the village into the harbour. It’s very cute with cobbled streets and a pub at the bottom.
Instow is a good place for a walk and there are a couple of pubs ( Instow Arms and the Boathouse) both pretty good for lunch/ dinner and a lovely deli called Johns which also has a cafe.
"The Chichester Arms" is the nearest pub to the Coach House, you can walk there (out of our drive turn left and turn right at thatched cottage) over the hill to Bishops Tawton - it’s pretty hilly! The food is good - particularly the steaks but everything is enormous so beware ordering starters too.
Food in Barnstaple - the "Fullam" is great for Chinese. Claytons has a bar and bistro type food. Lush is nice - good value and tasty. Fish and chips - "Squires" in Braunton ( bit of a drive unless you’re heading that way) or " The Pelican",the other side of Barnstaple. "The Jack Russell" in Swimbridge has a steak night on Wednesday and Sunday lunches.
South Molton pannier market is really lovely . It’s on Thursday and Saturday ( mornings are best) lots of locally made things and food.
If you like gardens and plants "RHS Rosemoor" is lovely. Marwood Gardens and Arlington Court are also worth a visit.
If you like art and sculpture there’s a sculpture garden called "Broomhill" with a nice tapas style menu.
There’s another gallery in Bideford called "The Burton", with a little French cafe in it too.
