The space
Our modern log cabin is tucked away near the breathtaking dunes of Saugatuck and just 0.2 mile (3 min walk) from the shoreline of no-wake Goshorn Lake, making it the perfect venue for friends, fantasy for the kids, and couples retreat to take a step back from life, relax and enjoy the tranquility of Goshorn Lake.

Return back to your cabin paradise at the end of the day to relax on the screened porch or covered porch, cookout on the grill and roast marshmallows on the bonfire, or lounge in the open living room in front of an open wood fire.

The cabin is a mere 5 min drive, 10 min bike ride or 30 minute walk along a bike/pedestrian path to the center of downtown Saugatuck. Enjoy the restaurants, live music and arts, and unique shopping area. Oval Beach, rated one of the best in the Midwest, is a short 10 minute drive, as is Saugatuck Dunes. Take a cruise on a paddle steamer into Lake Michigan or hire a kayak to explore the tranquil Kalamazoo River.

Tucked in the association of Hidden Dunes, you can enjoy a wooded atmosphere, access to Goshorn Lake, a small beach, and a sand dune. The area is beautiful in all seasons, whether you enjoy summer fun and relaxation, fall fruit picking, wineries and brisk hikes through autumn-hued woodlands, crisp, deep snow, cross country skiing and long nights by the fire in the winter, or the first green of spring before the crowds arrive.

My wife and I lived in Chicago for 15+ years and would spend long weekends at our cabin in Saugatuck. Since moving here full-time, we've been renting out cabin out for others to enjoy.
