The trip to this cabin was a blast! Ray and Rosemary were amazing hosts, proving to be caring and gentle from the first moment. They cooked a delicious breakfast for us on the first morning and were very helpful to prepare our hikes into the hills . The cabin has a very enchanting look and feel (beware, there's no shower!), and the property is beautiful - like being in another dimension. Totally recommended.

Wonderful experience staying at Timberwinds II. Ray and Rosemary have a wonderful place and it was a time spent well relaxing and enjoying the local scene. The place was very clean and as described. Ray was the perfect host and kindly had the house heating ready before we reached. While unfortunately we couldn't savor Rosemary's cooking especially biscuits, they were wonderful hosts and provided us with eggs, fruits and other items. The Mason jars filled with juice and milk were a treat. A direction note for anyone who is reaching after dusk as we did..once you turn into house lane skip the first house and take the left there u will see the lane and directions posted (we reached it late and missed it the first time in our groggy state)

A+++ location. Ray and Rosemary made us feel right at home during our stay. From the beautiful property to the homemade breakfast. We would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone.

The cabin is very cute and comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing and we had lots of privacy. It's not fully equipped with a bathroom (there's a camping toilet and a kitchen sink with hot and cold water) but it's a huge step up from the state park cabins I'm used to for around the same price. I would definitely go back!

Beautiful surroundings. Friendliness of the hosts. Breakfast is delicious. It is a good idea to arrive during the daytime if possible as it is quite dark

My husband and I had the privilege of staying in the oh so cute cabin for our 10th anniversary. Ray and Rosemary are wonderful hosts! The cabin was very, very clean and Rosemary made us a delicious breakfast. Be sure to read amenities, as the bathroom is just a toilet; we were perfectly fine with that but if you do not know, you might be surprised. Also you should know that there is a microwave, hot plate and small fridge. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we would like to go back. If you go to this property and do not spend time with Ray and Rosemary you are missing out. They are both so sweet and their property is absolutely beautiful.

My boyfriend and I loved our experience staying at Timberwinds. The cabin is so adorable and cozy and the property is very secluded and peaceful. This is a great place to stay if you want all the experience of camping but want a super comfy bed to sleep in and don't want to bring all of the supplies. Although there isn't a working stove in the kitchen, we enjoyed a fully stocked outdoor kitchen and fire pit where we cooked our meals. We also enjoyed a lovely hike along the property, and spent a lot of time reading in rocking chairs on the front porch. There is no shower in the cabin, so it definitely felt like camping, which we didn't really mind. The property is a little off the beaten path, about 30 minutes from Harrisonburg and about an hour from Skyline drive. Don't expect to get cell reception! But we loved that aspect of our stay just as much as everything else. Ray and Rosemary are really kind people and have clearly put a lot of love in to making their property a relaxing Oasis in the country. We would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to get away and relax!
