Fabulous, Grade I listed, stylishly renovated cottage oozing both character and elegance and situated within the grounds of Dorfold Hall, where the owners live. Surrounded by 19 acres of gardens, a lake, tennis court and estate parkland; the cottage offers an oasis of calm within easy reach of the charming market town of Nantwich.
It is also perfectly suited to people working in the area. Situated 15mins from Crewe station, itself only 35mins from Manchester and 90mins from London.

The space
As the gates open at the top fo the tree-lined drive, you will catch a glimpse of the Hall in the distance. Then as you drive up the Lake will appear on the right and both our Redwood and Lakeside Cottages will come into view.
Take a left turn at the top of the drive before the circular courtyard, driving past the cottage to find your parking spaces are nestled right behind the cottage.
As you walk in, you will find a cosy lounge with beams overhead and wood-burner, followed by a spacious kitchen-diner.
The cottage can sleep 6 adults in three double bedrooms, each with a king size bed. One of these rooms is situated on the ground floor and has its own dainty en-suite shower room. The other two bedrooms and the family bathroom can be found on the first floor. Additionally, adjacent there is a smaller room suitable for 1-2 children (we can provide a cot and /or children’s bed) adjoining the master bedroom. One of the ground floor bedrooms is on the ground floor and has its own en-suite shower room. There is also a large family bathroom on the first floor.
Surrounded by woodland and excellent greenery, this accommodation makes a warming place for families and friends to enjoy the open space.Enter through the main door and you will be welcomed by a charming living room, carrying a traditional feel, accompanied by a wood-burning stove, overhead beams and a pastel over touch.Two steps lead up to a dining room which neighbours a classical kitchen, perfectly designed and well-equipped to meet your needs.A king-size, double bedroom lies on the ground floor with a delicate finish and countryside views, adjoined to a standard en-suite.Take the staircase, a central feature of this property, and you will arrive at a luxury family bathroom with a freestanding bath where you can relax amongst the peace and quiet.Just off from this, a king-size bedroom carries intricate detail, wrapped together with an almost enchanting design. Following a similar theme, another king-size bedroom comes with a twist, showcasing a decorative fireplace, and a lovely side room which is spacious enough to use as a child's bedroom.

GO APE: Treetop walkways and adventure

CHESTER ZOO is about 20 miles away and CHESTER HORSE RACES a similar distance.

NATIONAL TRUST: there are several houses, gardens and walks in the vicinity of the Dorfold Estate.
