Nice cottage neighboring forest park, above the St. John’s bridge. Pellet stove, porch swing, gardens. Our happiest guests love to walk in Forest Park, the gardens and a peaceful visit close to the city. This is on a small mountainside on a dirt road. There are lovely views and you can pick fruit in the summer or relax by the fire in the winter. Eagles fly over head, you may hear coyotes or owls in the distance, and you may see a mouse or garter snake(harmless). We are not a hotel.

The space
This is a country cottage design with a porch and grape covered patio. The upstairs bedroom is large with vaulted ceilings. Currently there is a sofa bed upstairs as well. Downstairs is a great room with a living, dining, kitchen space. It has a pellet stove and french doors. We feature a library about local places to visit and the history of the area. Theres a barbecue and picnic table and swing sets. The number one feature is access to Forest Park and lots of room to enjoy nature.

Guest access
You have access to the whole house and yard. We do live on the three acre property and have neighbors.

This is an agra-tourism site and thus guests need to know the host is not liable, under Oregon Law, for accidents that may occur due to normal activities of being in a rural/ agricultural setting. It is a hillside site with trails in a forest. There are tools necessary for growing food. We welcome people to enjoy this lovely site, but want everyone to understand it is rural in nature, even though it is close to the city.

Other things to note
Dogs
We welcome friendly dogs but naturally require that guests pick up after their pet. If the dog wants to sleep on furniture, please bring a blanket for them. The dogs should not run unsupervised. The park requires a leash.
