Our quiet and cozy bedroom is perfect for one guest and comes with a spacious closet, brand-new carpet, and a south-facing window.

Built in 1912, our flat boasts original hardwood floors, high ceilings, a large living room, formal dining room, dine-in kitchen, washer and dryer, and modern central heating.

Guests share common areas with both of us, which includes the kitchen, living room, dining room, and bathroom.

We live here and will be sharing our home with you. We love guests and are happy to offer tips and recommendations about San Francisco and the neighborhood!

This quintessential San Francisco neighborhood is smack dab in the middle of the best part of San Francisco, and is very walkable with all the fun, funky, and fabulous restaurants, shops, cafes, coffee houses, markets, and other necessities conveniently located within a few blocks. Alamo Square Park and its gorgeous view of the famous Victorian Painted Ladies and downtown is five short blocks away, with Buena Vista Park and the Panhandle to Golden Gate Park just a bit further.

Getting hear from the San Francisco airport is easy with a ride on the BART train to downtown, then catching a bus. Easy bus access means no need for a car. We're located in the middle of a Muni bus hub, and a 31 bus stop in front of the building. With multiple bus lines and stops, it's a straight shot downtown or to Civic Center BART Station. If you have a car or want to rent one, street parking is limited to 2 hours weekdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; parking is free nights and weekends.

While NOPA is a vibrant neighborhood, our quiet home is perfectly situated half a block from Divisadero and all the hustle and bustle for a peaceful slumber.

Sharman and Daniel made me feel welcome the moment I walked through the door. Great room in a beautiful apartment. Quiet neighborhood with lots of character. The location was perfect for either walking or taking the bus to downtown. I highly recommend staying here!

Sharman and her boyfriend are such pleasant and wonderful people! Sharman goes out of her way to make her guest are well accomodated from beginning to end. The room was exactly as posted. Her home tends to be fairly cold majority of the time but she did provide a heater for me which was nice. At one point there was 5 people sharing 1 bathroom, it wasn't too bad but definitely felt like a hostel experience with your own room. All the other visitors were nice to meet from all over the world. I also had a work vehicle that was broken into. The neighborhood is very much like any urban city. I was told by the police not to park east of Divisadero, which is a block down from Sharman house. A lot of breaks in have been taking place. After getting my window fixed, I ended up parking in a completely different area of the city and took an uber to her house. Very inconvenient but my car was safe. My overall experience was pleasant besides the mishap.

Response from Sharman:
We’re so glad you had a good experience despite the awful incident with the rental car. After living here 14 years, Daniel and I haven’t had that experience in our neighborhood. One of the first things people comment on is how safe our area is, and how comfortable they feel. We’re sorry it happened, and would always caution our guests not to leave any valuables visible when parking anywhere in the city, which unfortunately is true for cities all over. Daniel and I are happy you had a great time in spite of the mishap, and would love to see you again!

This was my fist use of Airbnb and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. My host Sharman was great, before I arrived she explained in detail how to get to the house. When I arrived I found the room exactly as advertised and the house was pleasant to stay in. When chatting to Sharman one evening I said the only thing I missed was Barry's tea, an Irish favourite. The next day Sharman had managed to get a box! now thats what I call service. The area where the house is located felt very safe to me and had lots of places to eat around. I would recommend Sharman's place to anyone I know who is going to San Francisco.

Sharma was very welcoming and generous. Her house is charming and very convenient to restaurants, coffee shops and bus transportation. The room was very clean and comfortable. While we had 5 people sharing one bath, it was never a problem.

Sharman was a great host! She was very flexible with the check-in time, had helpful transportation and restaurant recommendations, and keeps a very clean and neat apartment. The location is central to all of the interesting neighborhoods- as long as you are comfortable walking or taking the bus- it was really easy!

Sharman and Daniel were awesome hosts, even accommodating my gluten free diet (I have celiac disease). The location is perfect; quiet and safe for an early morning walk or run, but super convenient for public transportation into downtown. Sharman gave lots of useful information on transportation and local amenities, which made my visit go very smoothly. She also was easy to contact and made me feel that someone was keeping an eye out for me as a lone female traveler in the big city! As all the other reviewers have mentioned, the house was cozy and spotlessly clean. Next time I visit SF I would love to stay with them again.

My boyfriend Daniel and I love traveling and meeting new people from all over the planet. Luckily, we live in San Francisco, which is rich in culture with all kinds of people and international cuisine and celebrations. Living in San Francisco reminds me of traveling, because the people here are open-minded and approachable, so it's easy to make friends. Maybe that's because San Franciscans also love to travel, and most of us weren't born here. Hosting guests from all over and having the world come to us is the next best thing to traveling ourselves. We love having visitors and welcoming them to a warm and cozy home away from home.
