In need of a retreat to nature? My quiet waterfront home on a private road in the woods sits by the protected waters of tranquil Eagleville Pond. The sunroom facing the water makes sleeping under the moon or gazing out at the birds on the water an absolute dream. Relax inside with a book, take a warm bath in the clawfoot tub, make a home cooked meal or enjoy an adventure outside... I hope you'll find yourself quickly in relaxation mode here. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS MY HOME NOT A HOTEL- BeRespectful

The space
The house is simple we call it a camp. It’s my home NOT just a rental property, please be aware of that when booking. I want to share the space with others who bring only good vibes! It sits right on Eagleville Pond a small fishing and bird watching pond that’s not for swimming but a pleasure still to enjoy on a kayak or canoe. The house has plenty of sleeping space. This is an all season home with heat in the winter and a small AC unit in the summer. The sun room with large windows looking out onto the water has a queen size bed, table and chairs and a glider chair. A daybed w/trundle and one crib (used as a toddler bed or lift gate for full crib) are in the second bedroom. A large sectional couch and a futon that opens to a full bed are in the living room. The bathroom has an antique claw foot tub and shower. The kitchen has a table for four & highchair. Fire pit and outdoor patio set with a grill can be used to enjoy a meal out in the nature if you wish. The dock had a rough winter this year and needs replacing so stay off- it’s dangerous. There are two kayaks and a canoe for your use with life vests. The well is older so the water is not good to drink from the tap (fine for bathing & dishes it is filtered) please bring your own bottled water. Dogs often run free around the area but they are all friendly. The neighbors are my parents & brother, they keep an eye on everything and are happy to help if need anything during your stay.

Guest access
The property is somewhat fenced in, you have access to the entire property. There are two locked closets in my home for my personal belongings & the house is full of our things as well- respect them please.

Other things to note
The pond isn't good for swimming.
Bring your own drinking water.
Bed Linens & towels will be clean and provided, please just remove them and place them in the hamper before you leave.
There is no dishwasher.
There is no washer and dryer.
The dock is broken -stay off for your safety!
The water is discolored due to high iron and minerals in the well, we have a water filter and the water has been tested safe for drinking, however I prefer to drink bottled water.
It's the woods, there are animals, wild and domestic, there are bugs, spiders, ants and dirt.
My parents are the neighbors we own 3 of the 6 houses on the dead end road, so someone’s always around & available if needed.

The house is located on a dead end dirt road, its bumpy! It's about 5 miles from highway route 2. Within 10 minutes of grocery store, Walmart, restaurants and bars. It's a quiet town, a few places to eat, drink and shop. The outdoor adventures are where it's at! The Quabbin Reservoir is beautiful for hiking. Tully Lake for swimming and kayaking. White Pond is very close by for swimming you can access from the boat ramp. Doanes Falls is a local waterfall to hike out and see.
