This room and bath is on beautiful, serene Goss Lake on Whidbey Island. Swim, fish, watch the eagles and enjoy the silence on this quiet lake (where no motor boats are allowed).

Please note: Coffee, tea and bottled water are provided, but you need to bring your own continental breakfast, other drinks and snacks. This is especially important if you do not have your own transportation and the ability to dash into town to a restaurant!

The space
The space consists of a private bedroom and bath. (It is not a separate building). The bedroom has been newly renovated (new large window, fresh paint). The antique furnishings consist of a full size bed with comforter, two chest of drawers, a writing desk, 2 chairs, and a television (with local cable). There are two heat sources: wall heat and an electric fireplace. The bath has a full tub. A hot tub (shared) is right outside the door.

The rental includes single cup Keurig coffee and bottled water.

The owner lives in the house as well as two renters in the sunlight basement. A cottage on the property also has a renter. Both houses beside the property are vacation homes and rarely used, so there is a real feeling of privacy and seclusion.

The dock may be used for swimming, sunbathing and fishing. Please note: water activities are at your own risk. Bring kayaks, inner tubes, etc. and have some fun!

The property is located midway between Freeland and Langley. Both communities offer shopping, dining and sound access and activities. Langley has a movie theater, The Clyde, and many art galleries. Further north, the Greenbank Farm also has many galleries and a great pie shop.

Water and hiking are everywhere on the island. Public Beaches include: Holmes Harbor Water Park, Double Bluff Beach, Maxwelton Beach and many others. Hikes includes Ebey's Landing, Saratoga Woods, Putney Woods and many more. South Whidbey State Park offers beach access and many trails, including some old growth forest.

Note: Our home is located on a hill. Getting down to the lake requires going down stairs. Parking may be at the top of the drive which necessitates going down stairs or may be right by the room.

We love our home and adore our island. Come visit!

Guest access
You will have access to the bedroom, a private bath, the hot tub and the dock. If you need kitchen access, we can discuss it.
