Cercle is a small hamlet on the outskirts of Abondance, a traditional French town with a warm and welcoming community. It is situated just south of Lake Geneva and in close proximity to renowned ski resorts, beautiful villages and the iconic, unspoilt mountain scenery.

Skiing info:

*La Chapelle-d’Abondance is a 10 minute drive from Landscape Lodge. Free parking and perfect for beginners and children. Equally good for experienced skiers with plenty of blue and red run options and also skiable links to Chatel. We enjoy this spot as it’s local and therefore quieter.

*Chatel is a 20 minute drive from Landscape Lodge. You will find free parking at this well known ski resort. Chatel has 83km of piste, great for beginners but also some superb terrain for intermediate and experienced skiers.

*Morzine is a 30 minute drive from Landscape Lodge. One of the most popular ski areas in the French Alps, therefore you would have to pay for parking. It boasts 120km of pistes and is home to a super gondola that links Morzine and Avoriaz.

All these ski areas make up a region called Portes du Soleil. It is possible to buy a ski pass for the region and use all of the ski resorts, which is what we do. We enjoy the flexibility and adventure of being able to explore a new resort every day.
