The space
The York Room is comfortable bedroom overlooking the ancient city walls.

It's on the 1st floor, so it is up 1 flights of stairs and on the same level as our our 2 shared bathrooms.

The room has a a comfortable double bed, tea and coffee making, a table and chairs, a wardrobe and a set of drawers.

You will get your own set of keys so you can lock your bedroom door and come and go as you please.

The bedroom is clean with fresh bedding and bath towels provided.

The room is normally booked for 1 or 2 people.

This is a large 5 bedroom house very close to the centre of York, surrounded by York's Ancient City Wall literally outside the door (see Pictures), which protects the house from city noise and traffic.

The City Centre is just 5 minutes walk away and its a 10 minutes walk to the train station (which connects with London in 2 hours, Leeds in 20 mins, Newcastle in 1 hour, Edinburgh 2 1/2 hours and Scarborough in 1 hour)

I, (Jelle) also live here and have been happily hosting people for a few years (see my reviews).

Business
I love York and welcoming guests from all over the world. I run a small local company called LoveYork, managing a handful of hand-picked properties with a lovely little team. We’re passionate about sharing the best of the city—especially the local, independent, quirky spots that make York so special. I was born in the Netherlands and lived in South Africa, Japan, and New Zealand before settling here. My name’s pronounced ‘Yella’.
