Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
A simple, rustic one man retreat. This lovely 1900s railway carriage has been restored for living in without destroying its character. Enjoy peace and wildlife on your doorstep on this beautiful organic farm in the Cambrian Mountains. You will have the run of farm and gardens. Sit on your balcony with a fire bowl by night and breathe in the expanse of the starlit skies.

The space
The wagon sits in the top corner of a small field, beside the old Chapel. It is just below the carpark where you can leave your vehicle. There are loos and showers in the farmyard below (about 50m) which are shared with other guests. You will have a small one ring gas cooker where you can make tea or cook a simple meal - and enough kitchenware for that. A wood burner makes the wagon very cosy when you want it to be. There is no electricity, wifi , phone signal or water in the wagon, so you really can escape from the modern world. Solar light makes reading possible and candles give a lovely atmosphere. Water is all good to drink. Your bed will be made up.

Guest access
We have plenty of parking. The approach road is single lane. It is an hours walk into the friendly, relaxed market town of Llanidloes.

Other things to note
We do not generally take dogs as we have some very vulnerable rare sheep. If you are sure that your dog is sheep proof you can bring a single dog if you have discussed it with us first and we have confirmed in writing. We will still ask you to keep it on a lead unless it is ancient.

Lives in Llanidloes, United Kingdom
I'm an organic farmer, with a passion for wildlife, woods, art, people. I love the outdoor and creative life that growing food and rebuilding a once derelict traditional farm offers. From the farm we run an archaeological company and run courses in prehistoric arts. We practise traditional crafts like stone carving, basket making.
