All about Christie’s place

Little River Wilderness Camp has been created specially for hikers of the world famous Six Foot Track, Blue Mountains NSW. The camp is also accessible by 4WD.

The camp is located half way on the 45 km track and is perfect for those wishing to do the track in two days and one night and who do not want to carry all of their gear. Or who want a rest day in a wonderful natural setting.

You are invited to rent the entire camp for your group. I currently do not rent single tents.

The space
You will find Little River Wilderness Camp half-way along the heritage listed Six Foot Track hike from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves. The camp has been created specifically for hikers, those who want to walk light and arrive to a perfectly set up glamping setting with real beds, eco-bathroom and indoor spaces to get out of the weather if you need to.

It is also suitable to nature lovers who have 4wd's and want a little bit more comfort.

The space is perfectly set up for small groups of up to 8. At the camp you will find:
3 x glamping tents, each with carpets and two single beds. All linen provided.
1 x cabin set up as a shared space for cooking, eating or getting out of the weather (indoor fire place).
1 x shared bathroom with compost nature loo and instant gas hot water shower. (tank water)
1 x outdoor fire-pit with one bag of firewood per night booked.

There are 6 single beds. Two in each tent. Each single bed comes complete with cotton sheets, quilt and spare blanket.

I have provided 2 fold out floor mattresses for additional campers. Ideal for children if you are walking as a family group. I provide a pillow, sheets and blanket for each fold out.

You can book just for Saturday night or you can book Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday and spend a day relaxing at the Camp.

If you are hiking in, for an additional fee of $100, I can also drop in all of your food and drinks so you can hike with a day pack. I live in Blackheath if you want to drop off to me before the walk or you can make an online order and have it delivered to my home.

Little River is a place to completely unplug and reset. To nurture yourself with time spent in nature. Wildlife is abundant with kangaroos, echidnas, goannas and amazing bird life. When it is not rented to walkers it is used as a retreat space.

There is no mobile reception and no power (well just enough for lights in the cabin, but no outlets to charge devices).

The shower water is tank water and reliant on the rain. If it has not rained I will put in 200 litres for you so you can each shower after the long days walk.

I also leave 10 litres of drinking water per person.

This is a wonderful way to complete the six foot track with a little extra comfort and privacy.

If you are looking to walk mid week, contact me directly for dates. I only list weekends currently but will take mid week bookings directly.

Hi there, Lovely to meet you. I live between Dee Why Beach and the Blue Mountains with my husband Hamish. We love to spend our time outdoors hiking, surfing or just relaxing. We would love to host you at our little apartment in Dee Why which is filled with art and music. Or at our 3 bedroom house in the Blue Mountains which is high up in the trees with magic views. We love to travel but right now our favourite place in the world to be is exactly where we live.
