Located at Barr na Criche, near Tarbert, half way around the Kilberry Road (B8024) and the very scenic Route 78, the Garden Room offers great space (either a double or twin) with an en-suite shower and provides you with the ability of living amongst the garden wildlife. With your own private parking space and a private entrance you will feel right at home. As seen through the side window from the garden room, a pond to take an early morning walk or a glass of fizz to watch the sun go down!

The space
The Garden Room is a modern, bright, spacious room tucked away under the main house, situated deep within the garden.

The room can be set up as a double bedroom or twin bedroom. Please advise at time of booking.

There is a kettle, toaster, mini fridge, tea & coffee tray in the room. Cutlery and crockery are also there for your own use. A seating area and table (inside and outside) are provided for your comfort and most importantly to enjoy the view looking towards the entrance of West Loch Tarbert. Look out for the Islay Ferry. Please feel free to walk around the garden or enjoy a stroll around the pond. There is a seating area beside the pond which you are very welcome to use, however, we would appreciate it if the boat on the pond is not used - thank you.
You are also very welcome to walk down to the Beach Hut (a fifteen minute walk over rough ground) where you can sit and watch the world go by, beach comb or walk along the seashore looking for seals and otters. Please ask us for directions.

The Garden Room is accessed by your own private car park and room entrance which will be left open.

Other things to note
We do not offer breakfast but the village of Tarbert, which you can travel through before arriving at Barr na Criche, is nine miles away and has small shops together with a Co-op for provisions. As mentioned the room has a small fridge, kettle, toaster, tea & coffee together with cutlery and crockery for your own use. It is also possible to BBQ down at the pond.

Please advise if a double or twin beds are required.

Closest fuel station: From the North of Tarbert - Tesco Express, Lochgilphead: 22 miles (40mins drive from accommodation) or from the South of Tarbert - Clachan Filling Station 21 miles (40 mins drive from accommodation)

Closest shops / Co-op / restaurants: Village of Tarbert: 9 miles (20mins drive from accommodation)
