** Live where New Yorkers lives. If you don't want to stay in a typical touristic and artificially overproduced neighborhood, you are looking at the right place. Welcome to Inwood.
** 25 minutes away from midtown.
** Very well located for students: few minutes away from Columbia University, Fordham University and City College. Also, a perfect option for doctors in rotation or residents at the New York Presbyterian Hospital (168th Street), and many other hospitals.
Very bright, spacious, well communicated entire two bedroom apartment in Manhattan.
NOTE 1: I am renting my whole apartment. I am very flexible with dates, and I can adjust it to the visitor needs (I will book my flight ticket after get your confirmation).
The only condition is, and is the reason why I am making a very good price, it should be a CAT-LOVER.
The person who stay at home doesn't only have to take care of my three cats (just feed and clean the litter box). Also have to give some attention and love to them.
NOTE 2: The photos on this profile are when I just moved here, few years ago. You can see how it looks the apartment today in the "First Video" below.
I am looking to rent the whole apartment, ideal for a single person or a couple (only one set of keys): 3 rooms (two bedrooms). First floor.
Yes, I posted two small videos online. Are a kind of tours around my house. Because Airbnb doesn't allow videos from You Tube, here the steps:
First Video: You tube + "FOR CAT-LOVERS APARTMENT"
Second Video: You tube + videos + "VIDEO HOUSE"
All utilities and Internet (Wi-Fi) are included.
Inwood is, we could say, a Little Dominican Republic. So, if you are a lover of quiet and bucolic environments you may be better off staying at some other neighborhood. This is very urban, like most places in Manhattan.
If you are very sensitive to noise, please keep in mind that the street where the apartment is located has a somehow busy nightlife on the weekends. And the apartment is at the first floor.
25 minutes away from midtown: Two blocks away from the A (express) and 1 trains, at the 207th St. Station, in Inwood, very vibrant, safe and clean neighborhood in Manhattan; and multiple buses.
Interaction with guests
I won't stay at the apartment, but always available and reachable by phone or What's app.
Parties are not allowed.
Pets are allowed. But, since I do have cats already, only other felines are welcome ;-)
Electricity it is included with a maximum use of $60 monthly, which is a regular fee having a regular life. A summer tip: Because the Air Conditioner consumes an enormous quantity of energy, should be used discreetly. Any exceeding of that limit amount will be charged from the deposit as soon as the monthly bill arrives at home. Or, in another way: You can use the AC without any restrictions, as long as you want, but in a monthly bill over $60 you have to pay the difference.
In case of lost keys, replacement cost $60 (landlord charges).
Others: If any item at home get broken or lost, I expect to be notified. If you decide to move some furniture or mirrors from the rooms, or anything from the kitchen, you can, but you should put it back at the original position. You can't leave your used dishes or garbage. Neither because you are paying for a housekeeper it means you can leave the house dirty. If anything, it gonna be charged from your deposit.
I am a Writer. I travel a lot and, sometimes, when i am away, I leave the entire apartment to someone, if the person take care of my cats.
You must be a cat-lover, because I have three cats, two black and one ginger.
I speak English, Spanish and French. I am learning Portuguese.
There are plenty of great books in my house that you can borrow when you stay here.
I love going to quiet places near the house, such as Inwood park and the lake, The Cloisters Museum (one of the best in town) to read my books.
I am also a foodie :) You will find, great spices at home that you can use for your cooking.
