We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was beautiful, it was well kitted out and met our needs. Light airy and spacious. Apartment was lovely and clean. Metro was close by. Free parking outside, knowing the days of the week in French really helps.

Stunning is correct and location is brilliant. The loft is exactly as described, for a family of 5 it worked really well. The Metro is 5 minutes walk and really simple to use. The market is a similar distance, plus there are lots of restaurants in the area too. We even walked all…

This was our first visit to Montreal and our first use of AirBNB. The apartment was just as described and made a perfect base for us. It is light and airy and attractively decorated with interesting treasures. Lionel Groulx metro is a block away with two lines to get you downtown…

Response from Eileen:
Yes, virtually every borough in the city is getting a long overdue facelift. (We voted in a very ambitious mayor!) That's why I don't recommend a car, but recommend parking it at the municipal lot in St. Henri and using public transit. Our transit system is very good and really affordable and the metro stations themselves are very interesting with a lot of talented buskers, to boot. Like a lot of cities with aging infrastructures, water mains occasionally burst. A major one broke in St. Henri last year and the corner of Rose de Lima and Notre Dame was affected. I'm glad you tried the restaurants on Notre Dame, though. Those establishments (and their wonderful chefs) serve great food (reasonably priced) and I'm glad they're getting customers regardless of what is going on. Thanks for being such great guests!

The apartment is located in the lively neighbourhood of St Henri with conversions of old factory buildings (some remain) into modern apartment houses, with signs of some old working class remaining but gentrification moving in strongly. Great connections from the apartment to the…

Irene's flat is absolutely fantastic. It's in a good up and coming area, near the subway & airport bus routes. The flat is very pretty and spacious inside. It's immaculately clean and well stocked with everything from cereals to ibuprofen(!), it's a real home away from home!

Host was an absolute delight, so helpful with what to do & what to see. Loved the apartment too. Really great location, just next time we'll make sure we don't come when Joe Beef are closed for their holidays!

Hi, I'm a world traveller and often use Airbnb myself. I worked in hospitality in my 20s--I worked for a foreign airline, very far away from home. After I returned to Canada, I went back to university and became an academic. However, I miss hospitality and love meeting guests and…
