Leave the curtains open to wake up to a stunning sunrise over the lake--that's the view from your pillow in this stylish ground floor apartment near Beaver Lake. Just 20 minutes from downtown Rogers, 40 minutes from Eureka Springs, and 5 minutes from the multi-use trails of Hobbs State Park Conservation area and Rocky Branch State Park, you're perfectly poised to explore some of the most beautiful terrain in Northwest Arkansas from this remote, yet convenient, dreamy space. Check out our extras!

The space
This approximately 525 square foot, one-bedroom apartment is the first floor of our 3-floor home on a bluff overlooking Beaver Lake. There are two windows - one in the living area, one in the bedroom, and you have a lakeview from each window--that's from the bed and from the futon sofa.
There are sliding barn doors (not pictured, we put them on after the pictures were taken) to give privacy to the bedroom.
This space is ideal for a couple or small family staying 2 days or more, or guests wanting to cook their own meals. (For single occupants or couples staying just a night or two, also check out my other listing, Where Bluebirds Fly, linked in my profile.)
The 6'x20' deck is an awesome place to hang out and we light it up at night with overhead string lights. We live on top of a hill, but the entire porch area is fenced in, so kids won't toddle out.
Though small, there is a full kitchen, stocked with pots, pans, essential gadgets, dishes, utensils and silverware, as well as a blender, coffee maker, toaster, stove and refrigerator with ice maker. We also have cooking spray, salt, pepper, foil, plastic wrap, dish soap, and the like.
**EXTRAS** If an incredibly stylish and comfortable space in a beautiful natural setting with lakeview isn't enough to convince you that our place is an amazing value, let me sweeten the pot - literally! Check out our COMPLIMENTARY EXTRAS:
*On arrival snacks and bottled water
*Marshmallows and use of our fire pit, folding chairs and roasting sticks
*Use of a small grill and free briquettes and lighter fluid for one use. (You can bring more if you want to grill more, or purchase from us.)
*Use of washer and dryer (access upon request)
*Use of canoe, paddles and life jackets (you transport, or for $15 we provide roundtrip transport)
*Use of 3 fishing poles and tackle
*Borrow our state park annual pass
*Lake towels
*The comforts of home. Need to borrow an egg or a safety pin? We're a fully functioning home and we're happy to oblige any reasonable request.
We do have one other guest room, so we must coordinate the use of fire pit, washer/dryer, canoe, fishing gear, bikes and annual pass with other guests.

Where you’ll be

Little Flock, Arkansas, United States

Please note: We're out there. The only less than 5-star reviews we have received were about how far out we are from civilization. So, you should know this well up front that we are in the woods. The 20 minute-drive from downtown Rogers is winding with approximately 30 curves. That said, we're convenient to a lot of the natural beauty people seek out in Northwest Arkansas.
We are 5 minutes by car to Rocky Branch State Park, where you can have lake access to swim, fish or boat. (We have lake towels, fishing poles, tackle and a small selection of floats for your use!) If you have a boat in tow, there is plenty of room to park on our property. Same goes for RV parking. There is canoe and kayak rental just outside the state park. Boat rental is available at Prairie Creek Marina, approx. 15 minutes away. We have a canoe you can use for free (with paddles and life jackets). It holds about 320 pounds without getting tippy. You can transport it in your truck or on a cartop with a rack, or reserve a day in advance for us to provide roundtrip transport for $15 to a nearby landing. We keep an annual pass on hand for guests to use, saving you the $5 day use fee. *Note - during COVID pandemic, Rocky Branch State Park is not charging a day use fee.
There is no direct lake access from our property, but the lake is visible from your room and porch. Views abound!
War Eagle Cavern and Mill restaurant are a 15-minute drive. Excellent location for the annual craft fair. Next closest restaurants are 15 minutes away in Praire Creek, many more options 20 minutes away in downtown Rogers. We are 45 minutes from Bentonville downtown and Crystal Bridges, mountain bike trails, etc., and 1 hour from downtown Fayetteville. 30 minutes to Eureka Springs and all that it has to offer.
Additionally, there are trail heads of the Hobbs State Conservation area just 5 minutes away, as well as great walking opportunities starting at the front door! Great area for biking, and we have couple of cheap ones you can borrow if you want.
Do any grocery shopping on your way here. The closest store is Dollar General about 15 minutes away. Harps is 20 minutes away, Walmart and Aldi 25 minutes away.

Donna and John recently built their dream house (2019) and now want to share it with the world! (Within reason.) A well-traveled family, we like to continue to expand our horizons by hosting folks from all over. We have a jovial 13-year-old boy, and not far away a grown daughter and son-in-law. Someone is almost always home, so do expect some household noise. But the upside is someone is almost always here to help. We look forward to making your stay at Beaver Lake and in Northwest Arkansas a refreshing and joyful retreat.

During your stay
The apartment has keyless entry, so it's possible you may come and go without ever interacting with us, but not too likely if you're staying more than one night. We will probably cross paths at some point. We take our cues from our guests. If you like to chat or have any questions/concerns we can address, we're happy to engage. If you just want a friendly hello on your way, that's fine too. The important thing to know is that we are here for you if you need us for anything. You can message through the app or just knock on the door.
