Welcome to my Boho Garden Studio (fka Cozy Country Studio) — a peaceful rustic retreat in the heart of North Hollywood. With high wood-beam ceilings, a garden filled with chickens, and fresh eggs most mornings, guests often say it feels like escaping to the countryside while still being just minutes from the highlights of LA. It is a perfect home base as you explore Hollywood and beyond.
**I have been off the site for a year while doing some sweet updates and now we are back better than ever!**
The space
My Boho Garden Studio gives you the feeling of country living. There are chickens in the backyard that lay fresh eggs everyday and invite the neighborhood birds to come hang out in the backyard. Garden beds. Outdoor seating perfect for watching the chickens run around and listening to the birds. There are hardwood floors, Country kitch with cookware and full size refrigerator. Eatery is fully stocked with necessities. Bedroom/livingroom has a super comfortable pillow top queen size bed. Please note: Bed is lifted extremely off the ground. It is a great height to store suitcases underneath and other non essentials for longer term stays. I provide a step stool if you think you will have trouble getting onto the bed. Bedroom has a Love seat sofa and flat screen TV with streaming services. Two full size dressers for hanging clothes and extra linens. Bathroom has a pedestal sink and stand up shower with ocean tile. And a toilet! The bathroom comes with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, Lotions, hair dryer and other essentials you may have forgotten to pack. (You will need to bring toothpaste and a toothbrush.)
Guest access
Guests have full use of the private studio, eatery and bathroom as well as shared backyard area with a relaxing garden filled with flowers and native plants. Shared outdoor washer and dryer. Freshly laid chicken eggs when available.
Parking is street parking only. There is ample parking available but check the signs for street cleaning days and hours.
Other things to note
The house is the back half of a duplex. It shares a wall with a room that is usually only used for self-tape auditions. The chickens make some noise in the morning when they wake up and after they lay an egg. When the chickens are laying I leave eggs in a bowl. If, during your stay, you would like more, please leave the bowl outside and I will fill with the days eggs. (Chickens sometimes stop laying in the heat or in the dark winter months. So if you don’t get eggs it’s nothing personal.)
The house is located 5 miles from The Hollywood Burbank “Bob Hope” Airport. Pro tip: fly into Burbank! It may cost a little bit more but it will save you a lot of money on Ride Share and Time. (You won’t miss anything) Also, being this close to the airport means we get occasional airplane traffic beginning at 7am.
Also we have a 90lb German Shepard rescue Puppy. His name’s Chopper. He is sweet and chases his tail when he gets over stimulated. He is never unattended. If you have any hesitancy with dogs please let me know and I will make sure to time his visits outside when you are not around.
