Our apartment is a duplex in which we provide a room, a small kitchen and a separate bathroom. The room is not very big, but it is equipped with a big bed of 160cm, the bedding of which is very recent and of very good quality, and a very big cupboard or can be accommodated several big suitcases. Access is by a front door that opens directly onto this little studio, and is only used by the occupants.

It's localized at the second floor, without lift.

Travelers will be welcomed by the owners who will be happy to make their stay enjoyable, and will occupy a separate part of the apartment.

The neighbourhood

The building is located on the eastern edge of “quartier de l’Europe”, close to the department stores (Printemps and Galeries Lafayette).
The Champs Elysées, the Grands Boulevards (Opera) is 15 minutes.
The proximity of Saint Lazare station offers a great transport links.

We really appreciated the communications leading up to our visit to Paris and Jean-Michel's place. Jean-Michaels son was there to receive us upon our arrival and helped us get settled. The kitchen, bed and bathroom were as advertised and the neighbors were quiet. Were able to arrive late and sleep late if we wanted. The location allowed great access to the city and the local shops and eateries. Don't wait to ask Jean-Michel about place to eat or shop in the area as he is a great resource and willing to share his city and local delights with you.

This became our petite pied-a-terre, small but perfect if what you are looking for is a place to rest after a long day in Paris. We stayed 10 days and found it to have enough closet space to accommodate us well. The kitchenette was handy for coffee in the morning and glass of wine before bed. We would stay again.

Wonderful for a very basic stay. confortable for its price. we were not expecting anything bigger since most Paris apartments are quite small. Stayed about week. If you wish to cook, that will be challenging. Everything else was very well. Super close to Liege station which is central and can make easy connections from there. Will definitely stay here once in Paris again.

Christopher and I have enjoyed our stay here at 35 Rue d'Amsterdam immensely. The studio apartment is small but contains all a couple or single person would need to be content and comfortable. We enjoyed having the expresso maker in our kitchen (one so easy to use) and the mini refrigerator was handy for keeping things like water, Coke, and cream chilled. I enjoyed the fact the kitchen had an eat-in bar/preparation counter on which I could work with my computer. Having free wi-fi was certainly helpful! The bathroom is very nice. We LOVED the heated towel rack for without it our towels would not have dried very easily and it was so nice to step out of the shower stall and be greeted with a warm towel. The bed was comfortable and the ceilings very tall and ornate. The classic french windows that open in with handles allowed for a delightful cross breeze when required. There was plenty of closet space and the room came with an iron and ironing board should a guest be here on business which could require a fresh pressed appearance. As the photo suggests there are few shelves of books (in French) and a guide to the city. The apartment is reached by a windy staircase and is on the third floor (second etage.) and with two doors to enter the building we felt very secure at all times. One can hail a taxi right outside the front door (though the street is one way) and the Metro being one block away could not have been more convenient. On our first day we walked about the neighborhood and within a short walk came upon the old Paris Opera House. Dozens of small bakeries and cafes can be found in the radius of three or four blocks as well as numerous pharmacies, a nice grocer and some shops selling standard merchandise. This is not a shopping area per se, but we found everything we needed just a block away. (I must note that if you are a shopper, Lafayette Galeries is a walkable distance from the apartment.) The apartment was extremely quiet save for a low rumble sound deep below our building which I suspect is the Metro given how close we are to the stop. It is not at all a bother however. It's part of the atmosphere one might say. Jean-Michel and Abdel (his son) were perfect hosts. They welcomed us warmly and then gave us total privacy. We will return.

My experience if Jean-Michel's apartment was really pleasant! Since when I arrived that his sun helped me with my luggage until when I have asked to leave the apartment a bit latter because I have my flight only the end of the day and he quickly answered me and approved. The apartament is very useful for a couple that want to enjoy and know the main touristic places in Paris. The metro is quite close and you can go for everywhere that you need by metro. Beside this, you have many brasseries close by that you can have the real Parisienne croissants. It was an amazing experience these 6 days is Jean-Michel's apartment and certainly I would like to come back.

This location is fantastic. It is in a nice part of town about a 2 minute walk from the metro station. It is very easy to get around the city for whatever attractions you would like to see from this location. The kitchen makes it possible to cook food if you'd like. The bed is very comfortable. Jean-Michel is a very friendly and warm host as is his son, who handled our check-in process. It made for a fantastic stay in a very friendly and fantastic city. The rooms are kept very clean and there was plenty of space.

Many thanks to Jean-Michel for his kindness and lovely hostage. Wished we could meet his daughter who speaks Russian, but nevertheless hope to meet her next time in Paris. We own apartments near the Black sea seashore, so it would be a great pleasure and honor to host back you and your family at our place, if you haven't ever been at these places in summer. :) Jean-Michel's apartment is comfortably situated near few subway stations, not so far from taxi stations and railway station. It is not too big, but it has everything that you ever might need. Highly recommended if you travel to sightseeing Paris, its location is really great! And the important thing is the price - it is totally worth it and very loyal comparing to other in the neighborhood. Thanks a lot to Jean-Michel for his kind and respectful attitude to us - quite ordinary tourists :)
