The space

Experience the rural beauty of Ravens View Farm while visiting the glorious Okanagan Valley and its renowned vineyards. Stay in the gorgeous Cottage, perched atop Ravens View Farm with a "million dollar view" of Okanagan Lake in a natural setting of orchards, herb and vegetable gardens, and a lavender labyrinth and amazing starry nights and birdwatching. Perfect for weddings, honeymoons or just a personal retreat.
The farm is located at the end of a long dirt lane. The Cottage is a separate building with its own entrance right off the drive. It is a large spacious studio (according to our guests, larger than it appears in the photos) with a balcony. There is a refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and tea and coffee service. There are plenty of pots and pans and cutlery so you can easily self-cater. There is an air conditioner and a gas grill on the balcony. The separate bathroom has a shower. The walls are adorned with agricultural lithographs from The Rucker Archive.
Ravens View Farm is located above the lovely little town of Peachland in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Walk through the orchard past the vegetable garden to overlook Deep Creek and enjoy the sites and sounds of a waterfall spilling down to Okanagan Lake. Watch Clarence our rare Canadian Chanticleer rooster and his hens or the honeybees pollinate flowers while enjoying a bottle of your favourite local wine and artisan cheeses on your private deck. There are a number of good restaurants in Peachland just seven minutes away and we are 15-20 minutes from the finest wineries in the Okanagan. We can suggest a personal wine tours and tour companies that do the driving for you. The local Kelowna bus system has a stop on Princeton Road a short walk from the farm. There are farmers' markets on Saturday (Kelowna or Penticton) and Sundays in Peachland in the summer months.

Alison and Mark were wonderful hosts and they (and the dogs!) made us feel welcome immediately. Alison gave us great advice on local attractions and regularly checked we had everything we needed whilst giving us all the privacy we wanted. Allowing us to sample their delicious local fruit and breathe in the views from the Cottage made Ravens' View the ideal place to experience Peachland! The location was perfect as it was outside the main town, so was quiet and peaceful, but only a few minutes drive to get back in. The cottage itself is very well presented and had everything needed to make us comfortable. The friendly conversations, relaxed attitude and happy vibe from Alison and Mark made us feel completely satisfied with our stay! The waterfall is worth a visit but wear some good shoes for the walk! We had a personal guide (Minik!) who kept us safe on the journey! I would definitely recommend Ravens' View to anyone wanting to stay in Peachland. If you're lucky enough to stay then be sure to visit the farmers and crafts market on Sundays - it is a great place to see and try the local products!

Staying with Alison and Mark was such a pleasure. Their little casita was bright, warm, beautifully decorated and well stocked. The view was spectacular, their dogs amazing and their willingness to help us have an amazing time were truly appreciated. We highly recommend this place and will certainly be back!

We had a great time here. Alison was a gracious host, very sweet. It's very large for a studio, never felt cramped. The view from the deck is amazing. Staying with our dog was hassle free too! Only thing I would warn people about is the location is at the end of a dirt road, my very low vehicle had some trouble getting in and out. Over all, nice place to stay in Peachland!

Response from Alison:
Thank you Spencer, and thank you for mentioning the dirt lane. I will update my description to inform future guests! At the end of a long season in which it rained in the spring the road definitely became more bumpy. Thanks

If you are looking for a place with a view, this is the place to book. Alison gave us a detailed tour around the cottage before we start our evening. We really enjoyed our time here. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is definitely the place to choose.

We stayed at the cabin for 8 nights and had a great stay. The views of the lake and orchard are wonderful, we loved sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine and this lovely view. Even if there is no actual stove, cooking in was quite convenient with all the useful tools and kitchen equipment. WIFI was quite slow, but we got along. The bed was a surprise for us - really comfortable. Alison and Mark were nice hosts. One time they even called us when two bears were visible on the borders of their property - great experience :) However we had a lot of privacy in the cabin which was great. The area is really lovely and we enjoyed some wine tastings as well as nice restaurants like the 'Gasthaus' in Peachland. We also liked the location of the cabin as we could easily reach a lot of sights in the Okanagan valley.

Ron and Diana, It was great having you stay. It was terrific having people who truly embraced all that the Province and the Okangan Valley had to offer both planned and otherwise. Come again! Alison

My pup and I had such a lovely stay at Alison's. I could have truly stayed for weeks and weeks! I loved the spaciousness of the cabin, its bright walls, huge windows, high ceilings and sweeping views. I enjoyed getting to know Alison too, and helping her pick peaches and plums! Alison was the best Airbnb host I've had so far - she was so thoughtful and treated me with hospitality as if I was a personal friend (in all the best ways), and still my stay was very private at the same time. I highly recommend staying here!

After managing cultural arts agencies for the past 25 year, including museums, arts councils and a ballet company from Saratoga Springs, NY to Boulder, CO to Kelowna, BC, I am now following my childhood dream of being an organic farmer. I am also pleased to announce that I have become a professional celebrant who can perform weddings and other ceremonies for visitors to the Ravens View Farm and the Okanagan Valley.

I love my daily practice of getting up with the sun, making chai, meditating, walking the dogs and feeding the chickens. Every time I gaze across the farm's orchard and lavender spiral garden and breathe in the view of Okanagan Lake below, I can't believe how fortunate I am to live here. There is a deep peace here on the farm that seems to emanate from the land itself. Caring for the orchard, planting the formal herb bee garden and lavender labyrinth, crafting my next ceremony and of course hosting guests are just a few of of the activities that engage my heart and mind on Ravens View Farm.

My husband, Mark Rucker, is one of the foremost authorities in wild and wonderful images of the 19th & 20th centuries, in particular 19th Century Baseball. He has collected the most beautiful pictures from the world's cultural heritage. Agricultural images from The Rucker Archive adorn the walls of The Cottage creating a visual feast for our guests both inside and out.

We welcome you to this beautiful and peaceful farm which has natural beauty you can call your all your own while you are here.
