Hans and Deirdre, made us incredibly welcome and Hans gave us an brilliant overview of the area noting good places to visit and restaurants to eat at. Their home is lovely and the bed very comfortable, with fresh chilled water made available daily. Their guest sitting room is beautiful, we were fortunate enough to have good weather so did not need to use it much, but was great to know it was available if needed. The location could not be better, only 10/15mins from the centre of town, but peaceful with its own buzz of great restaurants, coffee shops and bars literally 5mins way. We love our food, so following Hans and Deirdre's suggestions we ate at three local restaurants, all were great is very different ways. The Tapas one being exceptional. Breakfast was lovely, with a great array of choice and excellent tea and coffee, fresh breads, scones and tasty muesli and berries etc. fresh coffee of tea on request porridge (thank you Hans). Breakfast was great fun, with stimulating conversation and good laugh. we felt incredibly at home. one morning Hans was very kind and drove us to the Killmainham prison so we would beat the crowds. I love running in the morning and there is a canal run 5mins from their house, so that was a good start to the day. We loved our stay at Hans and Deirdre they are two very special people.

3 of us have just returned from Dublin after staying with Hans and Deirdre. We had the most amazing time, felt thoroughly looked after and welcomed. The house is amazing, great location, Pleasant street is very quiet and 'homely' but only a 5 minute walk to plenty of bars, clubs, parks and shops . Even with a bus strike we were able to get further out into the city and explore very easily. We had emails explaining how to get from the airport, taxi and bus info etc. We got in quite late and were still welcomed and shown around with no rush. It was perfect!

Hans and Deidre gave us a very warm welcome to their lovely home. Everything was perfect for myself and my friend while we were exploring Dublin for two days. We were able to walk to all the main tourist areas from the house, and we enjoyed a great meal in a local restaurant that came highly recommended by Hans and Deidre. Breakfast with the Geislers was a very jovial affair. A great way to start the day!

Hans and I have 3 grown up children who now live elsewhere. We are self employed and work from home. We work in the Fashion industry and are Textile Agents for Mills in Europe, we travel to Paris twice a year for a Fashion exhibition. Hans is a keen Fisherman and does a lot of Fishing in the West of Ireland - a place we both love .I am a keen walker and a member of a Hill Walkers group . We live in an old Georgian house which is within walking distance of the City centre and guests will have easy access to Museums, restaurants, shops, parks etc. - everything is on our doorstep .
We would love to welcome guests into our home and we know we would make their stay in our home and in Dublin a memorable one!
