Its a large village with lots of trees and green space close to the River Severn. There is a lot of walking locally and a friendly shop plus a variety of pubs that also have restaurants. People are really friendly and will stop and talk if you want to get to know the locals

A car is needed to reach the different attractions in the local area. There is a good train service to Birmingham (45 mins by train), Hereford (40 mins), regency Cheltenham (30 mins), and London (2hrs) 10 mins drive away and a local bus service (3 mins walk) to Worcester and Upton upon Severn

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. The listing for this home is very reliable. It is a clean, tasteful and quite large modern home. It is perfect for a family group with 4 great bathrooms, at least 5 bedrooms, comfy beds, HUGE kitchen, lovely garden, walking distance to pubs w/dinner options and local shop. Drive down to the Rose and Crown (4m S. on A38) for the best dessert/sweets menu in the UK. Lovely walking distance trails along the river and an historic village setting will give you a real taste of English countryside living. Great access to M5 and many day trip options. Details you'll need to know for an extended stay: WiFi can only handle one or two people at a time. No landline. Vodafone does not work there. Use EE or GiffGaff SIM cards. Hosts are very responsive to questions and will go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Advice to host: The house lacks basic appliances like microwave and coffee maker, that while minor compared to the rest of the amenities you do provide, it may cause difficulties for Americans and Australians. We bought a coffee press at Tesco and relearned the lost art of reheating leftovers in the stove and on the cooktop. :) Local activity info: While you are there, be sure to hike up the Malvern Hills with a picnic and check out the Royal Worcester museum- city Centre. Less known, but amazing, are the 12th century carvings in the Malvern Priory. Upton on Severn is a lovely little historical town down the road. The Elgar Inn (5m S. on A38) has very good upscale Italian food at midrange prices. The Bluebell Inn in Malvern has good lunch dinner eats. The Harvester, before Tesco (2m N.) has a good breakfast deal every day. Big "boot sale" (flea market) on Sundays at the roundabout 1 mile N. If heading south on M5, use the M50 access to avoid traffic. Head to Hay-on-Wye if you love books, comics or maps and want to dip your toe into Wales.
