Hi, we would love to host you in our charming, Victorian house. We will do our best to accommodate you and make you feel at home. We are now accepting minimum stays of 7 days or more only. Thanks and welcome!
The Faded Manor is an eclectic, turn of the century, Victorian home. We are centrally located in the historical area of the prairie city, Brandon. Generally our guests feel very at comfortable and safe. We have two rooms with queen size beds available, pricing is per couple per room. This big house is warm and cozy in the winter and relatively cool in the summer. There is a shared full bathroom on the second floor with an incredible tub to stretch out in and a half bath on the first floor. We own two cafes in town for a nice breakfast or lunch. We do not provide breakfast, but you are welcome to prepare your own in the kitchen. There is two hour street parking Monday to Friday and unlimited parking on weekends. Wireless internet is available. You are welcome to use the kitchen, dining room and living room. We are relaxed easy going people and enjoy hosting guests from near and far. Our neighborhood is a little odd but safe. If you need a spot in Brandon, give us a try...happy trails! Bridget Shaw and Wes Stobbe
Guests have access to the kitchen, dining room and living room, front porch, laundry in the basement, front porch and back yard.
Interaction with guests
We like to take a moment and orient you to our home and the city. You are very welcome to make yourself at home and become part of the family or stick to yourself in your room or parts of the house that are not used very often (that wouldn't be the kitchen). Most of the time we are a busy household and enjoy a quick hello in the hallway.
Other things to note
The house is large so there always seems to be room for everyone and the bedrooms are very private and soundproof (mostly). We do have grandkids and their moms visiting now and then.
Having fun is the main priority. Picking up after yourself is appreciated. Quiet time in the house after 11:00p.m. You can come in late as long as you are respectful of the other guests when you arrive, thanks.
I love hosting people in our home because, when I travel, I know how important it is to find a connection to the community you are visiting. I have created an eclectic comfy home where I live with my partner, Wes. My three daughters and three granddaughters visit regularly. I have an entrepreneurial spirit operating a shop, cafe and pub with my family.
