Set in the stunning coastal town of Sheringham this charming former boathouse is close enough to hear the crashing waves at high tide . Inside you’ll find an upside down holiday home with a wealth of local history. It was originally used by the well know Norfolk family, the Emery brothers, who used it to build fishing boats for the local community. The cottage was refurbished in the summer of 2020 into a cosy holiday retreat whilst maintaining its coastal feel and original features.

The space
This beachside retreat boasts an open-plan living area in an ‘upside down’ cottage, with every essential to make your holiday relaxing. There’s plenty of space for six guests and a small-medium sized dog.
The cottage oozes coastal living with thoughtfully chosen furnishings to complement the history. On the ground floor There are 2 bedrooms (one king, and one with a triple bunk) to choose from and the fully fitted wet room bathroom.
Upstairs there is a sofa bed in the open plan lounge, and a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area with table and benches , perfect for family time after a long day on the beach. The vaulted ceilings add to the feeling of space and can almost imagine the boatbuilders working under the original beams . The flint wall at one end is a striking feature .
Located under a 1 minutes walk from the beach and seafront, with pubs and restaurants literally on your doorstep . The bustling high street is also 1 minute walk away containing both high street shops and local independent traders. Also your traditional fish and chips, street food, takeaways and ice-cream parlours.

Guest access
There is a key safe to let yourselves in and check out after your stay. You will have the entire cottage to yourselves so can come and go as you please, but if you do need anything, we live locally so just give us a bell.
Parking is available at the Wyndham Arms public house which is situated adjacent to the cottage. The space is dedicated to the cottage and is included in the price.
