For a unique and relaxing holiday in a rural setting, Mahoe Cottage is quiet and private, set under the rugged slopes of Mt Fyffe. There is an on-site gift shop that stocks our own lavender oil and other quality lavender products. Guests may wander in Lavendyl's gardens at any time.

The rustic cottage features macrocarpa grown at Lavendyl in the hand built stairs and beds. It features a spacious balcony where you can enjoy breakfast or a sundowner with stunning views to Mt Fyffe.

The space
Your own private, self contained cottage with a fenced garden. The cottage has it's own balcony, accessed from the bedroom, with views to Mt Fyffe.
Mahoe Cottage contains a Queen (upstairs), hand-built from Macrocarpa grown at Lavendyl, and a Double foldout settee in the lounge/dining area.
French Doors open from the lounge to the private, fenced garden where there is an outdoor bath and shower. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the bath scented with our own lavender water while gazing at the stars.
There is a selection of books to read and guests are invited to take away an unfinished tale at a nominal cost or in exchange for another. We also provide a small selection of card and board games in the cottage and guests may also borrow from our games library.
For our young guests, we can provide toy boxes. Preferably let us know before arrival so we can sort out appropriate ones.
Guests can use the onsite washing machine and outside drying line.

Guest access
As well as exclusive access of the Mahoe cottage, guests have free access to Lavendyl's extensive gardens at any time. Our friendly chickens always enjoy a visit and food scraps.

We have petanque, French boules, available to guests at all times.
