Parking onsite, outside the apartment, no steps.

The room will be cleaned to a high standard.

The space
First of all, we do NOT provide any cooking/washing facilities, bar a kettle. We offer a beautiful shower room, standard double bed and space to sit and relax watching the sunset over the surrounding hills. We have even been known to see the Northern Lights.
We provide an ample selection of tea/coffee/milk/sugar sachets and small kettle and fridge for you to keep refreshments, snacks or fresh milk. Porridge pots and a sweet snack to set you up for the day.
We are very happy to take 1 well behaved dog. We can put out 2 dog bowls for water and food. Please bring your own pet bedding/drying towels and keep your pooch off the bed and couch. Be respectful of the area and pick up any dog poop. We have quite a few walk books of the surrounding area for you to browse.
A travel cot and high chair are available on request for a child under 2yrs.
There is a little outdoor space for you to chill out, use the chimnea and watch the stars. Logs provided.

Guest access
We have a small grassed area to the side of The Garage you are welcome to sit out on. We have a little patio area for you to enjoy a refreshment and light the chimnea to enjoy the evening. Logs are provided. Please take the lid of the chimnea on lighting. You may even be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights.

During your stay
Check in will be by key safe on the outside wall, just by the entrance door. The code will be provided before your arrival.

Please use the Airbnb app to contact us if required. We both work during the week, but are on hand to reply if needed.

This is our family home and we have 1 dog, Dexter who may welcome you with a woof or 2, but is contained within our garden.

We really leave interaction with you, up to you. Happy to have a little chat in the driveway and equally happy to give you peace and space.

Other things to note
We have a few guidebooks on our listing to help with eating out / excursions etc.

We are unable to offer electric car charging. This is due to our letting insurance as we don't have a charging point. There are a good many charging points in the carpark behind Morrisons supermarket.

Happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the surrounding area, however, Google may answer you quicker !
There is a bus service to take you up and down the hill if you need. Taxi services are also readily available. Uber is not in our area.

Neighbourhood highlights

We live in a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential neighbourhood, literally at the foot of the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis.
Fort William is a small town with lots of cafes and restaurants and bars. There are ample outdoor shops. The town is known for it's outdoor pursuits. They include walking, hillwalking, mountain biking and skiing. Bike hire is readily available locally.
There are sea cruises available to take at various times of the day down Loch Linnhe.
Nevis Range Mountain Experience is approx 6 miles North and provides MTB hire and ski hire. There is a lower cafe, gondola and top cafe with walks available for all abilities. There is also a High Wire Activity Centre suitable for all ages.
Fort William also has Lesiure Centre with swimming pool and full gym facilities.
Local places to explore include the very beautiful Glen Nevis.
The Caledonian Canal with Neptunes Staircase is located a short drive over in Banavie where you can follow the canal in both directions to walk/cycle up to Gairlochy or head to the Corpach Basin area where a new marina is currently being built.
There are visitor attractions locally including Old Inverlochy Castle and the Commando Memorial in Spean Bridge.
The very famous Glenfinnan Viaduct where the Harry Potter Hogwart's Express glides over and also the Glenfinnan Monument.
Further afield to the West but within an hours drive there are the Silver Sands of Morar with the stunning views to the Small Isles. The small fishing port of Mallaig, where you can take the ferry to the Isle of Skye and explore the incredible scenery.
Going North through the picturesque Fort Augustus, again meeting the Caledonian canal before it opens out into Loch Ness... don't forget to Nessie hunt! A further hours drive takes you to the Highland City of Inverness.
Aviemore to the East is also for a day trip. Here you can visit the Highland Wildlife Park on route, before exploring Loch Morlich and the MTB trails in the forest of striking ancient caledonian pines.
