Welcome to Nanu Guesthouse Pink! We are located in the lively Hongdae area. Our rooms have been designed in a pink kitty style, some of our rooms have special bunk beds that you can fold when there are no other guests so your room will be very spacious. There is 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchen/living rooms to hang out and meet other travelers. All rooms come with both air conditioning and heating and have use of the shared bathroom.
We provide free Wi-Fi, breakfast, tea/coffee, towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, toothpaste, maps and more! :-)
- Curfew and locking system
There is no curfew and the door has an automated locking system with password.
- Check in Check out time
We will do our best to make you feel comfortable. This means that you can check-in and check-out at irregular hours or even extend your stay after discussing this with us. However, your beds will be ready at 3 PM.
- Daily life
Every room has free Wi-Fi. Towels for showering are provided and in the morning you can make toast with strawberry jam and a nice cup of tea, coffee or juice
- Luggage deposit service
In case you want to travel somewhere lightly after checking out and come back to Seoul again, we can keep it safe for you for $5 (one time payment). So if you check out and go to Busan for 2 days, you can leave your heavy luggage with us for $5.
- Free international adapters
We have various international adapters for the guests to use. There is a deposit of $10 for the use and after usage you will get it back.
Interaction with guests
Our employees are able to talk English, Chinese and Korean. We will try our best to help you with your questions, such as how to reach a certain area or hand out a map of the area. There is always at least one employee present and we can share our contact information for urgent matters.
As mentioned, you can meet a lot of new people in the area. Hongdae is a very young, and dynamic area. There are many cafes, clothing shops, souvenir shops, art shops, and restaurants with delicious food. In the evening there are many street performers to enjoy while you look around and the YG Entertainment building is within walking distance. For the night there are many bars and clubs, like Cocoon and NB2, in the neighborhood to experience the nightlife in Seoul.
Shinchon & Ewha Women’s Univ. (15 min. walk)
These subway stations are part of one of the big university areas. Yonsei Uni, Ehwa Uni, Seogang Uni, Hongik Uni. are all located in this area. You can visit the campus of Ehwa Uni. for example which is quite famous. In this area you can meet a lot of university students. There are many stores and there is a large fashion town in the neighborhood. Here you can buy clothes for a good price with many varieties.
Insadong & Kyungbok Palace (20min by subway)
Kyungbok Palace is a traditional town/palace within the big city. Once you go inside, you go back 500 years. It is really famous among Koreans as well as foreigners. Insadong is a unique area. There are many food shops, souvenir shops, and there is a huge indoor shopping area. The main reason that Insadong is unique is due to the fact that in signs and menus, only the Korean language is permitted. It is also famous for the Korean traditional dress 'hanbok'.
Myeongdong, Namsan Tower (30min by subway)
Myeongdong is another pretty famous place and many foreigners love to visit it. You can find all the cosmetic brands and there is a big department store. Again, there is a large variety of clothing shops and delicious street food too. Then there is the Namsan Tower, which is a beautiful attraction. You can go up the Namsan Tower in a unique way: the cable car. Namsan Tower is especially beautiful at night and a place to visit for couples.
Dongdaemun (25min by subway)
Dongdaemun is famous for clothes, food, and souvenirs. But it is mainly famous for being one of the largest areas for clothes shopping. Every style of clothes are available and for all age groups. Night sale starts at 11 PM and continues until 4 AM in the morning, which makes it a special experience. While you are there, you could also visit Seonggwak-gil. It is a fortress wall that was built in the Joseon Dynasty in 1396. It is a great place for people that like walking and sightseeing in old Korea.
Jamsil, Lotte World (50min by subway)
There is a big stadium for baseball games, concerts and festivals. Also, there is a huge department store and Lotte World. Lotte World is a theme park like Disneyland for both adults and children.
- Busan (2,5 hours by KTX or 5 hours by bus)
The busy city life and beautiful beaches next to each other. Busan is the second biggest city in South Korea with a lot of places to see, go shopping, swim, sunbathe, surf, skateboard and many more stuff to do. It is around 5 hours by bus or 2,5 hours by KTX (high speed train). We can help with buying tickets and also arranging accommodation too. We have several connections with the guesthouse The New Day Hostel and motel S-One Motel.
- Jeju Island (1,5 hour by airplane)
Jeju Island is a very nice natural environment and has many beautiful places to see. Only 1.5 hour by airplane and we can help you buy tickets.
Hongdae is connected to two subway lines, the green line and the airport line. The Airport Railroad can get you to Gimpo and Incheon international airport. It is also very fast in getting you to Seoul Station from where you can reach many lines.

Other things to note
1. We are a group of 6 but really want to sleep in one room, is that possible?
In the biggest room we have has 5 beds, but we are able to put one more sleeping place (floor bed) so that the whole group can sleep together.
2. Is there a bigger bed for couples?
Yes, we have 2 rooms which have double beds.
3. Can I check-in early in the morning or at night?
Yes you can, after discussing it with one of the employees through email or phone. Your bed will be ready around 3 PM, but you will be able to leave your luggage and go out for a walk or dinner.
4. Is there a curfew?
No there is not, however it would be nice if you could respect the other guests by not being too loud after midnight.
5. Do I have to pay for the lockers?
No, you do not have to pay for the lockers. These are private and yours to use. However, if you lose the key to your locker, you will have to pay a small fine of $10
6. How do we get in?
Our guesthouse has an electronic door lock. Once you arrive, all guests will receive the password.
7. Does the room have a lock?
Yes the room can be locked, however it is not common. If you really want to lock it anyway, we can do it but we do not hand out the keys.
8. Can we get help with our luggage?
Yes, once you arrive at our guesthouse, feel free to contact us and we will help you with your luggage.
9. What Internet possibilities are there?
There is free Wi-Fi within the building. We do not provide Wi-Fi Eggs anymore, so it would be best to buy those at the airport or within the city at one of the providers.
I'm korean and I travel a lot! Recently I went to England, France, Italy, Germany and the USA where I stayed for a few months. I've also been to China, Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan.
