Centrally located to 30+ wineries breweries. Cell phone booster tower. Mesh WiFi network. Super clean!!! Bring your bikes. High end interior design, “Like walking into a Design magazine..”. (from review). Furnished with West Elm, CB2, BoConcept, Lux $6k mattresses, 65” Smart TV, etc... Families or a romantic couples retreat. Sleep soundly with lux bamboo sheets. 0.25 mile walk to live music, restaurants, wine bar, general store (Washington St). Potomac river and many hike/bike trails.

The space
Super clean. Bring your bikes, we have a secure storage shed. Thomas Jefferson called Harpers Ferry “Perhaps the most stupendous scenes of nature”. An hours drive to DC area (or take the train) and over 30 wineries and 10 breweries within 20’ish miles. Double that if you drive another 20 miles. Read reviews, we pride ourselves on neat and clean. Quality high end furnishings. (e.g. West Elm, CB2, etc.) Professionally landscaped with colorful design. Ask about possible discounts for tubing, rafting or other nearby outfitter activities. Although the address is Bolivar this is all one continuous town from Harpers Ferry. And many (most) of the restaurants/entertainment are actually on the Bolivar end of Washington Street. Air purifiers throughout the house (great little dust cleaners and helps during Covid times). Your air will be clean!!! A great family environment setup or couples romantic retreat. Mood lighting and blue-tooth sound bars, relax to your music. Read a book, relax, its comfortable and cozy. Giant sectional high-end couch adorned by the softest blankets you've ever wrapped up in. Clean lines, professionally designed elegant feel designed by a wonderful European lady. You will think you just walked into the pages of a Design magazine (quote from a guest). Although designed for a small family, it's a beautiful romantic getaway house with easy short drives to many nearby wineries or breweries in three States, Virginia (Loudon County Virginia is just across the bridge), Maryland and West Virginia. [Please don't drink and drive, Uber serves or designate a driver] We've customized our outdoor deck for your relaxation and enjoyment. An open kitchen with floating shelves; a custom white oak buffet shelf adjoins next to a large wooden kitchen table for easy dining. Keurig K-cups for a nice cup of coffee in the morning. Huge 65 inch Smart TV (SirusXM app, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) in living room with sound bar, watch your favorite movie while sinking into the mega couch stretched out or feet propped on a pouf. Netflix, Amazon Prime. Acrylic ghost chairs and coffee table create a sense of uncluttered open space. Tons of board and other games. Advanced wi-fi mesh network, cell phone tower booster (this area is hard to get service for many providers and the booster helps get more bars on phone). Furnished with quality furniture from stores like CB2, WestElm, Bo Concepts, etc. Custom Italian designer white oak hard wood flooring throughout.

We planted over 70 trees, 300 shrubs and over 2,000 bulbs at the townhouse and the surrounding area. We considered blooms for each month year round.

Walking distance 0.25 miles to many nearby restaurants on Washington St. Short walk to a nearby National Forrest. Hike down the other side of the mountain (really a large hill) down to the Potomac River, or enjoy dozens of other nearby hikes. The mid-point of the Appalachian Trail is nearby. Beautiful mountain views. Local activities include zip-lines, tree adventure parks, tubing, rafting. It's a short walk/hike 1.0 miles to Old Town HF. Take Washington St. or walk along the Potomac river to Harpers Ferry old-town. Keep in mind that entertainment and food is mostly near our Townhouse, not Old-town HF. Enjoy high end luxury Tempur-Pedic Breeze beds (King and Queen) with Bamboo sheets to keep cool. Ceiling fans. The professionally landscaped garden has been designed to have flowers and changing colors all year.

Aug 2021 review from a family of 5: “We all loved staying here! The beds are super comfortable. It’s clean and modern. The wifi extender [cell phone booster tower] really helped because there’s not much signal there [anywhere around Harpers Ferry]. It’s very centrally located. We took day trips to the Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian Museum, Shepardstown, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, lower town Harpers Ferry, and tubing on the Shanendoah river. There’s some charming restaurants and shops close by. Our family loved doing a virtual escape room at Rations Spaceport. We also enjoyed spending time at the house watching shows on the giant TV and napping on the enormous couch. All the linens were provided and are very nice. Check out instructions were clear. Paul was friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again if we visit the area in the future.”

Where you’ll be

Bolivar, West Virginia, United States

See for yourself why Thomas Jefferson called this picturesque landscape ""perhaps one of the most stupendous scenes in nature.". There is always something going on in HF, be it a Civil War re-enactment or filming for upcoming film and documentaries (e.g. The Good Lord Bird on Showtime about John Brown, or Emperor, The Raid at Harpers Ferry 2020.). The Townhouse itself rests in a peaceful neighborhood a quarter mile walk to Washington Street, the main drag that leads down into the Old Town Harpers Ferry. Washington Street has all the great restaurants, bars and occasional live music at the Anvil and the Barn, all within a quarter mile of the Townhouse. New: walk to the Wine Bar at the General Store on Washington St. with Weekend wine tastings of mostly international wines, also wine for sale. This guy is very knowledgeable about his wines. Walk over the hill behind the neighborhood to find the Potomac at the bottom. Tons of hiking trails just outside the front door to Bolivar Heights, or slightly longer hike to more famous hiking trails like the AT, Loudon Lookout Heights or Maryland Heights. Need a launch pad for visiting wineries and breweries? The TH is central to over 30 wineries and 10 breweries within 25 miles (see map in pics). Please don't drink and drive, you can take an Uber from here.
