We had a wonderful nine nights here and would highly recommend a holiday here. The courtyard was a relaxing place to sit in and the swimming pool was a great luxury to have (clean, and a relatively warm 22 degrees for September). We really enjoyed staying in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon; so much so that we barely ventured into Avignon itself. The flat is positioned close to a bakery to buy pastries in the morning and there are plenty of good restaurants: we particularly enjoyed the authentic pizza from nearby Rita's. If you buy a ticket to the monestary and fort (plus spectacular gardens open in the summer months) the ticket is valid to use over several weeks which came in handy for several walks with outstanding views. Thierry and Nadia were very friendly and laid back hosts who gave helpful advice. The flat kitchen doesn't have an oven but does include hobs and a good selection of sharp knives, pans etc which we used most evenings to cook meals.

We just spent another week at this delightful home away from home in Villeneuve and can't say enough about what a lovely time we had. The accommodation is welcoming and relaxing and the setting is superb: a medieval village with several excellent restaurants a few moments walk away. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel comfortable - we had a lovely time again.

We had an absolutely lovely week at Nadia's place. The listing and pictures were an accurate reflection of the flat and gardens, and the place was spotless and well-equipped. The additional surprise was the flat's location right in the centre of Villeneuve 's old town. Nice restaurants within very easy walk (less than 5 minutes), and some great places to visit right in the village - we particularly enjoyed the Abbey gardens (which you now have to pay €5 or so to get in) and the Chartreuse. Pool was lovely. We spent many hours hanging out in the garden / by the pool. Although this space is shared with the owners, Nadia and her partner are obviously used to airbnb guests and gave us lots of privacy. They could not have been more helpful - booked us a taxi to get from the TGV station, gave us some milk as we arrived on a Sunday afternoon when the shops were shut etc. I was skeptical about having a car-free holiday and planned to rent a car for a day or two if we needed to. In the end we didn't bother as the bus to Avignon was easy and there was more than we expected in Villeneuve anyway. Besides, with the pool and the local rosé, why bother rushing about...? We're already talking about going back...

We were welcomed by the host, shown around the property, given a thorough explanation of how everything worked (particularly the powered entrance/exit gate. There was a basic supply of coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits etc, plus wine - which was a nice touch. The property had everything we needed, and was very comfortable, an excellent bathroom, access to a washing machine and all the necessary kitchen equipment. Detergents, cleaning pads, coffee machine filters, salt, corkscrew, nail brush - everything had been thought of and provided, so no looking around to buy those little things. We loved being in the town and being able to take a short walk each morning to buy our baguette, or out in the evening with a choice of restaurants. Despite being in the town, it was surprisingly quiet, Villeneuve les Avignon is steeped in history, walking around the town reveals all kinds of historic and architectural discoveries. We were initially a little concerned about parking, but in practice this was never a problem and could always find a space close to the property. Thursday markets are a must and the Saturday 'antique' markets fascinating. The 'Vide Grenier' or attic sales took up most of the town and were a revelation - probably a must for any car-booters.

This was our first Airbnb holiday and we will definitely use Airbnb again. We enjoyed our stay in Villeneuve Les Avignon. Nadia's property is delightful, peaceful and in the centre of town. We arrived in a thunder storm to be greeted with an umbrella, bottle of wine and some cakes. We were at the end of the season, but there was a lot to do. We rented a car which we could easily park for free near the property . We went on several trips, Uzes was particularly nice.

Nadia and Theirry's place is truly a wonderful retreat, in the centre of enchanting Villeneuve-lez-Avignon. We were very warmly welcomed and made to feel at home straight away. The accommodation is exactly as described, in fact more spacious than expected, with lots of thoughtful little touches throughout. There's a fabulous shower, and sliding doors from the bedroom straight out onto the delightful courtyard garden, which was in full flower during our stay. The pool is deep and lush, and we couldn't resist a few dips, even though it was September! Despite being so central, its incredibly quiet, peaceful, and private. We were so happy to be there, we extended our stay from 7 to 9 nights. Nadia and Theirry are perfect hosts, very relaxed, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely glass of wine with them on the last night. Villeneuve itself is a beautiful little town, with so much to do and see that we only crossed the river twice! Ideal for a car-free holiday, there are 5 or 6 incredible monuments/museums/gardens within 2-10 minutes walk of the accommodation. Our favourite was Jardins de l'abbaye Saint-Andre which we returned to 3 times for strolling, sketching, marvelling at the views, and drinking Rose on the terrace. Thank you Nadia and Theirry for sharing your wonderful sanctuary - we had a fabulous time.

This was our second visit to Nadia's gite, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. It is clean, well-equipped, and in a great location. The pool was, again, very welcome since the weather was hot. Nadia and Thierry were friendly and solicitious hosts, but left us to enjoy their place in peace. We did train trips to Arles and to Isle sur la Sorgue this time, and both were lovely. Thierry gave us an early-morning lift to the TGV station on our departure, when the taxi didn't turn up - merci beaucoup Thierry! We're already plannng a return trip next year.
