Where you’ll be

Blainroe, Ireland

We live in the country side and across the road is a working farm with lifestock, so you can expect the occasional noise or smells from it.
The cottage is within walking distance to the idyllic beach of Magheramore which is a popular filming location (ie vikings) and also a very popular beach for surfing. We are also only 5min drive away from the renowned sandy beach of Brittas Bay. Blainroe golf club is just 500m down the road. Wicklow has a variety of sports activities, like sailing club (it hosts the biannual 'round Ireland yachtrace') , tennis club, rowing club, paddle boarding, canoe hire, also a surf school at Brittas Bay. The charming coastal town of Wicklow Town is 10min drive away with coffee shops, Restaurants, takeaways and shops and all the popular supermarkets. The recently opened Wicklow cliff walk is a very popular walk where you can admire seals as well as birdlife. This cottage is an ideal basepoint for excursions to all attractions in Co Wicklow like the monastic site of Glendalough, the beautiful arboretum in Kilmaccurragh, Powerscourt Estate, hillwalking in the Wicklow / Dublin mountains, shopping trip to Dublin, to name just a few things to do/visit.
