This charming house was perfect for our group's needs. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch with a glass of wine. The linens were plentiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the space was perfect for 8 adults and two young children.

Response from Andrew:
Thanks Martina. The outside of the house is a little more "rustic" these days which is part of the process to get this Victorian gem ready for fresh coat of paint and back into pristine condition on the exterior with new cedar shakes where required. I am so glad that you and your family enjoyed the veranda and sunset views and the house. Welcome you and your family coming back. Cheers, A.

Unbeatable sunsets from the porch and close to everything we wanted and needed! Andrew was communicative and friendly, and we had everything we needed. He flexibly also allowed us to extend the reservation for an extra night, and the house was left very clean and reasonably stocked with necessities. Though we were comfortable, beds were creaky and the house is in need of some work. Perfect for a family who wants to be close to everything from ice cream to the beach!

This lovely old country home suited the needs of our group of 8 people perfectly! We were unfamiliar with the area, but ended up loving it! We loved that is was close to the Jost Winery, beaches and we even checked out an oyster farm. The place itself is obviously old, but in really great shape and very clean! It was awesome that you had everything that we needed already there. This weekend exceeded all of our expectations!

We were a bunch of New Yorkers in town for a wedding, and this property was very conveniently located for us. As far as being able to accommodate 6 people, affordably, and somewhere we needed to be, it was great. The house itself was built in the 1880s, quaint and quirky. The beds weren't super comfortable (squeaky frames, uneven mattresses, our window didn't open): think rustic over modern. Andrew was great, we never met him, but no problems there. One bathroom with closet-style door, and an extra toilet in the lounge room (we said quirky!).

Andrew's rental was great for our family. We were in the area for a big family event and this gave us the privacy to have meals together and some quiet space for our 4 year old grandaughter. I was welcomed by a friend of Andrew's as he was not in town during our visit and she was very helpful even offering to help me unload my car before the other family arrived. We would rent again next time we have an event in Wallace area.

Response from Andrew:
Thanks for the comments Debi, glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to you getting to enjoy that veranda water view again! As you say, it is an expensive long term project. First up this year was repairing the veranda for quality outdoor living space. Now that that is done, I will be taking out the downstairs living room corner half-bath this month. I will be installing a new full bath in West half of the rear entry porch - but that is a major project for after the summer rental season. What I will do though, since the removal of those fixtures is imminent, is change the listing to 1-bath only. Stay tuned for the pictures after the new front entrance and full exterior paint job is finished! Cheers, Andrew.

Andrew has a huge rustic country house that is full of character. It was a good size for our group of eleven. Apart from the four bedrooms there is ample space and two fold-out sofas for the young people in our group. Andrew was there when we arrived to show us around and easy to contact when we needed anything. The house is very well equipped with everything you would need to make nice meals, including an enormous outdoor pot for boiling lobsters, a gas barbecue and enough glasses for an army. Andrew very kindly left us some wine as well (thanks). The place is in an excellent location to get ingredients for cooking; the Tatamagouche Farmer's market, the Oyster man and Jost Winery (Malagash) and the Pork Shop (Brule) are all driving distance. Apart from eating, drinking and enjoying the sunset from the large porch that looks out over the water, we spent our evenings watching some of the DVDs in the house and playing the Trivial Pursuit game we found in the living room. For daytime activities it is also not far from the Blue Sea beach, nature trails and the Wallace Museum (well worth a visit). One of the best things for me was waking up to see the ocean without having to get out of bed. Thanks, Sarah

Thanks Sarah - look forward to your family enjoying the house again. And I look forward to continued additions of amenities for guests to enjoy. Thanks for the local tourism reference materials you left for other guests to use. Your notes here on local spots to enjoy give me additional notes to add to my listing profile! Enjoy the rest of your summer! Cheers, Andrew.

I am looking forward to hosting people from around the world at my house in the fishing and cottage country village of Wallace, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I look forward to using Airbnb as a great platform for extending my circle friends globally that enjoy travel and to continue meeting new people and experiencing new cultures and great destinations around the world.

I am a small business entrepreneur and most recently a contract C-level executive working on the island of Bermuda. I have been back home in Nova Scotia attending to family affairs since 2010; and I am now looking for a challenging start-up, sales, project management or executive role.

I have enjoyed extensive travel and boating in North America and the Caribbean. A little travel in the UK and Mediterranean. I am a lifelong boating enthusiast, beach bum, restaurants foodie, and eternal sun worshipper.

My style of travel is varied from enjoying boating excursions to great hotels and lots of time spent visiting friends in great spots around the world. I am equally as happy sitting on a sunny beach with a magazine and a cold drink as I am enjoying a great night out at fine dining. And, of course any day that can be spent on water boating is an awesome day!

My motto is: Live well while you are alive!
