The space
Picture yourself in this bright, clean and very comfortable lake house bungalow.
Enjoy family time in this open concept living room with fully equipped kitchen. Cook a wonderful meal or order out and get restaurant food delivered because you are right in the town of Lac Du Bonnet and not miles away where there is no delivery. Or you have the option to phone many of the restaurants in town and pick up and bring it home in a blink of an eye because you are close to everything!
Share stories and make new memories at the dining table or play games late into the night. The living room area has a bonus sitting room corner complete with a Serta chaise lounge where you can get your day started with a coffee or hot chocolate and toast or snuggle up with a good book during the lazy afternoon. You’ll be delighted with the two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and a trundle bed and the other with a luxurious king bed).
Indulge in an extra long sleep because of the room darkening curtains.
The supersoft leather couch, coffee table and a powered recliner/rocker arm chair, a 58” inch tv are perfect for that movie night on Netflix, Disney+ or YouTube with those special people in your life.
If you need to do a bit of laundry the new front loading washer/dryer are super handy. No trips to the laundromat for you.
If your family is larger the dining area has an extendable table to seat 6.
Cooking in the kitchen is a breeze. A full sized range with oven, countertop microwave, double sink with new faucet, toaster, coffee maker, a full fridge with top freezer, a full set of dishes, tableware, knives, utensils, pots and pans, serving dishes and linens makes creating a wonderful meals possible. If you forgot one ingredient, don’t worry, you can walk to Dancyt’s grocery store in 2 minutes and pick up what you need in this fully stocked family run store.
Clean up is quick and easy with the dishwasher because let’s face it, who wants to do all those dishes on vacation?
There are two bedrooms both with fan lights to keep the air flowing for a comfy sleep. One bedroom has a “to die for” king bed, 2 side tables with lamps and USB powered outlets for your phone and a wardrobe and a credenza for your clothes. Bring your laptop and hardwire hook up to the internet either in the bedroom or on the dining-room table or use the wifi anywhere you please.
The other bedroom has a queen bed with an excellent mattress and under the bed is a trundle bed that can roll out and be used as a single bed in that room for a child. All the bedding and pillows are supplied.
The nautical themed bathroom has a tub with shower, toilet and sink. Loads of shelves for all your lotions and potions. Supplied soft large bath towels and hand towels can be hung up on one of the many hooks.

We are in the heart of the town of Lac-du-Bonnet on Johnson avenue.
Don’t be fooled
We are not in the municipality of Lac du Bonnet which can take you on a 17-20 minute drive out of town one way. That’s a long drive to pick up food or get that grocery item that you need.
Many Airbnb’s brag about being close to the town but we are the only ones in town! And on the lake!

Lac Du Bonnet is full service town that is a great place for tourists to explore. Many restaurants, grocery stores and shops all within walking distance. Go to Grans bake shop (3 min walk) for a treat or walk to the Lady Bug Cafe (3 min walk) for an ice cream treat or to DE’s family grill (4 min drive)for a poutine or burger with a shake. The farmers market on Saturdays is a real treat. ( 5 min walk) Visit chicken chef ( 5 min walk) subway (5 min walk), lake view fine dining ( 4 min walk) Chinese food (4 min walk)the Caseys pub,( 2 min walk) the fishin kafe (1 min walk) the liquor mart (4 min walk) Dancyt’s fine foods ingham’s pharmacy, Red Apple, deals for dollars, the post office , Rona, yellow door cell phone and electronics, are all on 2nd street a (2-4 min walk)
The Sunova credit union, RBC, and the Carnation Corner Plus gift store with women’s clothes and gift items are a one minute walk.
A short drive to the Pinawa channel for tubing down the river (Free if you have your own tubes or kayaks)
And the Pinawa suspension bridge (free) with a stunning forest hiking path or to the interesting Pinawa dam Provincial Park (Ruins of an old hydro dam).
The Blueberry Rock Trail is part of the Trans Canada Trail system. With its free parking, washrooms and lookout tower with vistas of the Winnipeg River and Lac Du Bonnet airport and the prairies , you and your family will really enjoy this hike in nature. (7 min drive) There is also a quarry close by on this hike. Be careful it is unfenced!

There are many golf courses close by. Pinawa, Black bear and Granite hills are all within reach. (20, 15 and 26, min away)

Enjoy this cabin rental as a place to relax and as a launch pad for all the excitement of the Winnipeg river system !

We love to travel to hot places in the winter and mostly have traveled to Disney Florida, California and sometimes the central us.
