As usual Suzanne's cabin was great. We bought a house in Westcliffe and used Suzanne's cabin as a base while we were doing some work on our house. It was a great, convenient place to crash at the end of the day. It had everything we needed and now that it has DirecTV it kept my kids entertained after a long hard day.

This family trip was awesome and the cabin was one of the best parts of our trip. We would definitely like to stay here again and highly recommend it to others. I loved having my coffee on the back deck in the mornings just perfect

The cabin is exactly as advertised and was perfect for our needs. It's a good size and very private. Suzanne, the owner, was very responsive and helpful in securing the cabin and making sure we had everything we need prior to our arrival. We spent our Thanksgiving in the cabin with another couple, and it was perfect. The kitchen was also fully stocked with pots, pans, utenils, which was great. We would definitely recommend this place to others and consider coming again.

This is our second time staying at Suzanne's cabin and it was great as always. Suzanne is a great host and makes us feel welcome. This time we were house hunting and the location was perfect for where we are looking. If you are trying to find a nice place to get away for a while I don't think you can beat the Westcliffe area and Suzanne's cabin.

We went to Westcliffe because that's where my son decided to get married with the beautiful backdrop of the gorgeous snow capped mountains. Suzanne was waiting for us on arrival and was warm and welcoming.. She showed us around the adorable cabin and beautiful property, gave us helpful information about things to do in the area, places to shop, etc. It felt like we were old friends... You couldn't see or hear any neighbors but,the one neighbor Bill walked his dog Rambo on the main rd and Rambo came to play with my three dogs each morning... they loved it! We didn't get to enjoy the hot tub as we were busy getting a wedding together. Overall it was fantastic and Highly recommend!

Suzanne was a great host! She provided everything we could ever want for our Colorado family vacation! She was very helpful with providing information about Westcliffe and nearby things to do. We emailed several times before the trip, and called before we left to go over any questions that I had. When we arrived, she was not able to be there but was always available if I needed her. I texted a couple times, which was great, not too much contact but just enough to feel at home and relaxed. Highlights: Hot tub – Selling factor, did not disappoint! After a long day of hiking or rafting, it was a nice treat to relax. Although the view from the hot tub could improve a little by trimming some tree branches or if it was up to me I would prefer to have it on the back patio, speaking of the back patio… Back patio – The view was nice, my mother in law caught some beautiful golden sunrise photos, I always slept through them (because of my great night sleep on the comfy king size bed). I did catch some gorgeous sunset photos and we enjoyed the quiet dinners outside. My daughter loved to listen to all the animal sounds and tried to spot one with the binoculars. Kitchen – Very well stocked with pretty much everything we needed to cook our meals. We visited the local grocery store and ate at the cabin for almost every meal. The kitchen island was nice and allowed us time in the evening to all stand around it to meal prep, eat our homemade guacamole, and chat about our plans for the week. Location – Close enough to town (about 20 min to the Westcliffe grocery store) but far enough to feel secluded. We mostly stayed in the area and visited Cotopaxi, Canon City, and Pueblo all within 45min-1hr drive. The drive was beautiful in every direction; the San de Cristo Mountains are majestic. Surprises: There were a couple things I didn't realize about the cabin that I wish I would have known, but nothing too serious that would have derailed my plans. No AC – Not a big deal because it never got really hot, only when we were moving our luggage to and from the car in the afternoon. There are ceiling fans but we couldn't get some to turn on. We left the windows open and there was always a nice breeze coming in! Loft – The space where the king size bed is, which I would consider the “master bedroom” because of the attached bathroom is actually a loft , so it’s open to the living space downstairs. Not a super big deal because the bed is far enough into the space where not everyone can see from downstairs. There is a bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed where my mother in law slept that would be an option too. Great place and would stay there again!
