Elvire's home is wonderful. The garden is enormous and it is next to the canal for nice walks and picnics. Her two dogs are large and incredibly good natured. Perfect for young kids to play around with. The cave at the back of the garden is fun to check out as well. Would definit…

Sereen Paradise in France, near the booming captital Paris! Very friendly family, who makes you feel at home. The house is very nicely renovated, keeping in mind of the old history. Lovely garden and surrounding for a walk! Come and see yourselve!

We had an amazing stay at Elvire's place. The room was clean, the owners were super kind, and the location was beautiful (like really really beautiful). Also the breakfast that was provider free of charge contained a bunch of fresh and local products. If we ever have to stay some…

We so enjoyed meeting and having breakfast with Elvire and her son, and meeting her Mom. They made us feel so welcome and invited. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We took a morning walk down the canal and enjoyed the countryside. Wish we could have stayed long…

We had a somewhat interesting time here. My husband and I were on the last two nights of our two week trip to France and really wanted to have a place, close to the airport, where we could relax and unwind. Elvire's place is sort of like that but we didn't feel the most relaxed t…

Response from Elvire:
I am really surprised by your comment and I am really trully sorry that you felt that way. But I can't help thinking that you are a little bit unfair. Allow me to say that you did not rent a cottage, but a room in a B&B. So, yes, we do live in our house, my husband, my son and myself. Our guests have a whole floor for themselves and can enjoy to stay also in our kitchen, living-room, attic (with the home-movie), and garden. Yes, my mother also live in her own studio in an other building, and a tenant in a other building. They all are very nice, polite and respect our guests intimacy. Our property is 2 hectares big, so, in my opinion, big enough to relax and find peace. I saw you sitting in our chairs and hamacs, play the ping-pong, and it didn't seem that you were feeling unrelaxed! You also swam in the cove, which is at the feet of our house. Did seem that you were having a nice and relaxing moment there... You asked me if you could cook. I answered you that i usually say no, because I cook for my family, of course, but I also offer the guest table option (which means i cook for you, as long as you book the day before, as written on our website and Airbnb site). But you did not book dinner ... I did mention the option, you did not take it! Then, I made an exception and allowed you to use our kitchen, not the side kitchen (!) but the professionnal one. You did not clean after using it and half of your dishes was still on the table, unclean. We are not a restaurant. You gave me extra (and free) work (which I do of course if guests book the dinner !) and I did not say anything and even allowed you to use the kitchen again the day after! You had your diner in our fancy kichen and my husband came to you, had a warm conversation with you, offered you a bottle of wine. Is this not welcoming? Again, you did not rent a cottage, but a room in a inhabitant house. Let me remind you that our price is really low, but everything in the house is open to our guests (except our rooms). There probably was a misunderstanding there.
