The Pig Pen is unique at Moreland's Copse, Raised off the ground and with its own private deck area nestled within the woodland. It has it's own built in single bed, with brand new memory foam mattress and campbed to make a twin. The Pig hut has access to the fabulous purpose built shared outdoor kitchen for the ultimate camping experience. Located at our fabulous site in rural Hampshire, we are next door to Marwell Zoo and just 12 minutes from the M3 motorway and all local transport links

The space
The Pig Pen is utterly unique and was originally used by the charities pigs, until it was moved to the woodland. Local celebrity Millie the pig was born in the Pig Pen, you may know her from BBC radio as well as appearing in numerous magazines and articles.
It's set up on a platform and we have added a small 'wall' around the lower half as well as insulation and waterproofing so there is plenty of space within. It's location means that it is sheltered even in the worst weather and it's thick curtains stop those pesky drafts on chillier days. We provide hot water bottles though - just in case!
The Pig Hut is located within our fabulous ancient woodland in our purpose build SHARED outdoor seating and dining area. There is ample room though, with a chesterfield sofa, antique sideboard, saddle swivel stools, chunky window ledges (perfect for resting your G&T!) and numerous chairs and soft furnishings its the perfect outdoor space in any weather.
The Pig Hut comes complete with waterproof mattress covers, battery operated lighting, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm and hot water bottles. Please note that bedding IS NOT included as standard, if you wish us to provide this at the additional cost of £15 then please tell us at the time of booking.
Please note that fuel IS NOT included as standard, if you wish us to provide you with gas or coal at the additional cost of £5 per item then please tell us at the time of booking.

Where you’ll be

Fisher's Pond, England, United Kingdom

We have off road access from the site right onto local bridleways and footpaths which take you all across the South Downs. Locally there is several pubs within walking distance, namely 'The Ship Inn' in Owlesbury and 'the Fishers Pond' in Fisher's Pond. You can also walk to Marwell Zoo (Wildlife) from the site, it takes approximately 12 minutes.
There are numerous walking, cycling and riding routes around the site and beyond to local villages. The site itself is off-grid and very quiet and rural, there is very little light pollution which is great for stars but it can get very dark at night we recommend bringing a torch.
Please note that we are a campsite and some areas are shared, we endeavour to ensure the utmost cleanliness, as well as providing ample space.

We have relocated the chickens mentioned in previous reviews due to noise complaints

During your stay

Sometimes we are at the the campsite doing work and general maintenance, if we are there , there might be some dogs with us. They are very friendly and mostly no problem but please let us know if you would rather they weren't around. If you have any problems please message us and I would be happy to help you.
