It was my second stay with Annick and her lovely family and it was as great as the first! Annick is very good at making you feel at home, the apartment is lovely and is a great base. Only problem was my stay wasn't long enough :). Hope to be back someday soon, grazie Annick and Giorgio.

Annik's place is wonderful and and has amazing location. We were really happy to have chosen it because Mondello is Autumn is really lovely and peaceful :) the house is right opposite the beach and a really short and lovely walk to the town centre where you can find loads of nice restaurants. Mondello is a short 20 min drive from Palermo, and much nicer to stay rather than busy city. Giorgio - Annik's partner, who was looking after us, was absolutely amazing and very helpful. We'd definitely come back! x

We had a wonderful stay at Annick and Georgio's place. They gave us a lovely welcome and Annick gave us lots of ideas of where we could visit. We also had use of their two bikes and had a wonderful day out exploring the local area. It's very well located and it was great to be able to pop over the road to the beach. The water was very warm and clear. Breakfast was beautiful! Homemade jam and yoghurt - it became the favourite part of my day! Our room was good and the bed very comfortable. Thank you for our wonderful stay. Please come visit us in Scotland soon!

Annick made us extremely welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. She gave us fantastic recommendations for all the types of evening meals we wanted to eat and also advice and directions for trips. Every morning she provided a delicious breakfast of home made yogurt, juices, cake and bread with coffee. The apartment is on the first floor of a beautiful house and set on the main road. We loved to sit on the terrace overlooking the sea and beach particularly in the early morning or evening. Our room was spacious and although basically furnished, provided us with everything we needed. The bathroom was conveniently situated opposite and we had a choice of ceiling fan and air conditioning for comfort in the July heat. We loved the busy beach with safe, shallow sea and tended to use the same, favourite area each day, becoming good customers at the beach cafe. In the evenings we walked to the nearby 'square' where there was a great choice of cafes, bars and restaurants, partaking of well cooked local dishes. On two occasions we brought back a delicious Sicilian 'take away' and wine from Cafe Alba, to eat on the apartment's terrace. Our little beach cafe "transformed" into an elegant sushi restaurant in the evenings and we had wonderful sushi as the sun went down and the lights in the bay and from the moored yachts twinkled. Very romantic. We also found an excellent Bottega selling 'top end' food and wine using Annick's directions. Our stay was made so much more than "a week in Mondello" by the lovely relationship with Annick and Giorgio and we left feeling we had new friends. We would certainly recommend the holiday to anyone wanting a relaxing beach holiday with a great host. There are many areas to visit nearby, and we did drive to a nearby market selling local food, and to Seggesta to see the ancient Teatro. Had we visited in a cooler month, we would have loved to visit the nearby reservations that Annick informed us of. Thank you Annick and Giorgio for a wonderful holiday. We are sure we will be back .

I had the most amazing stay at Annick's place. Right opposite the beach, Annick's beautifully decorated and very homely flat was the perfect place to relax for a few days. Annick is a lovely, welcoming host who made me feel very at home. She is also a talented baker! Breakfasts of fresh bread, cereal, homemade yoghurt and cake looking over the beautiful Sicilian sea were the absolute highlight for me. Mondello is a small Italian seaside village / town which has some lovely restaurants and even better bakeries / gelato places, perfect for relaxing for a few days or perhaps a week if you hire a car and want to explore more of Sicily. The flat is very convenient for Palermo airport too. Probably one of my favourite airb'n'b experiences so far, I will be back!

Annick was a lovely host, and the location is stunning! Communication was great before and during our visit, and she gave us lots of great advice on where to eat, how to get around and what to see. We only had a few days in Palermo but she really helped us make the most of them. It was wonderful to be so close to Mondello beach and see the sea from the terrace. It does take a while to get to Palermo itself by public bus, but the tickets are very cheap and it was easy enough once we figured out the bus routes. We would definitely come back!
