About this listing
A converted warehouse in the heart of trendy Dalston: cafes, restaurants, bars and culture all with easy transport links. A small but charming flat, ideal for one or two people on a short trip to London.
A converted warehouse in the heart of trendy Dalston: cafes, Turkish restaurants, funky bars, The Vortex jazz club, the Rio cinema, the Arcola theatre, Ridley Road street market six days a week, a large supermarket and excellent transport links - all in a very short walk!
Dalston Kingsland in 3 minutes away by foot, and links to the Victoria Line tube at Highbury & Islington in 10 minutes, and Stratford in under 15 minutes. Central London is under 30 minutes away. Dalston Junction is also very close, at 5 minutes walking, and allows for further trains south. There are also many buses and night buses too. Dalston is Zone 2.
High ceilings, wooden floors, the original metal columns and an outdoor terrace make for a one-bedroom converted warehouse flat with character, all within a gated development (1 parking space too). A full kitchen (washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, toaster, citrus juicer, coffee machine, kettle, etc.), a good kingsize bed, instant hot water and speakers/projector for your laptop, with WiFi included . No TV, but a laptop can project BBC iPlayer or DVDs onto the wall... home cinema!
If possible, I can make myself available to show you the best parts of Dalston, and other parts of London when I have the time (though you will have the flat to yourselves). I have a guide to the local area which I can email. Any questions just ask!
The whole apartment.
Interaction with guests
Depends on where I am - in London or travelling - but very happy to offer advice on the neighbourhood wherever I am!
Other things to note
Please have a photo on your profile, as it helps to know who will be living in my home! General details of your plans in London are helpful too.
Your stay should be under a week long, unless during a school holiday. Much longer rentals are possible during school holidays (March/April, July & August, December), and half-term breaks (mid-February, late May and late October). Otherwise, I prefer rentals to be under a week.
NO PARTIES. No dinner parties. No quiet get-togethers! (Of course you can have a friend over, but larger groups will only run the apartment down).
Otherwise just common sense and mutual respect. I will show you around the flat before I hand over the keys where possible. If you have any questions or requirements, just ask. It helps if you have a clear photo and tell me a little about you and your plans in London before I welcome you into my home!
I don't smoke, but you are welcome to smoke in the terrace.
And don't try to open the bathroom mirror!

Teacher, traveller and photographer!
I know London very well, having grown up here, and can show you around. I have also lived in Bogotá and Dubai.
I really enjoy good cinema, which is one of the best things about Dalston: the Rio cinema...
I am also a big fan of astronomy, snowboarding, backgammon, squash...
I speak Spanish fluently, get by with Portañol and French. Hoping to learn Arabic...
