Great location, great collection of records. A bit dusty due to close proximity to the road. Lovely host.

Response from Janet:
The morning of check out guests messaged me to say they had a good stay but found the house a bit dusty causing an allergic flair. They also inquired about check out time. I apologized about their allergic reaction explaining that the house is dusted regularly and it is perhaps owing to springtime in the south. There is yellow pollen everywhere. I have an air filter in the hallway which purifies air. I leave that on when the house is empty and guests can turn it off or on when they are there. I received a return message that they would try to be out by noon. I wrote back explaining it wouldn't work because I had guests arriving the same day at 3pm and it could take the full four hours to clean the house. I did offer that if they wanted to bring the laundry to the laundry room I could start that because it takes the longest to wash and dry and that would give them more time. I didn't receive a reply on that offer. I message my guests the day after check in to make sure everything is going great. I want all my guests to have a perfect stay. I didn't hear back after my inquiry. The house does have antiques in it and all the beds have down comforters. Perhaps that contributed to an allergic reaction. This family didn't complete the check out instructions of stripping beds and taking towels and sheets to the laundry room. The garbage was not removed also. They apologized for not stripping beds because they ran out of time. They had departed the house when I arrived at 11:10. They left the house in good condition overall.

This property is at an advanced stage of renovation and it was a treat to stay in this restored home which brought back many memories of the way we used to live. This bungalow is very capacious and comfortable with more than enough space for two couples. It had also loads of inte…

Thank you Frank for the feedback. I'm sorry I didn't realize you were struggling with the heating system. It is thermostatically controlled via a modern control box in the hall way. The gas logs in the living room haven't yet been tested for safety so I don't want them used. I don't list a fireplace as being available in my listing to avoid confusion and disappointment. I look forward to being able to offer this as a feature once it's safety can be verified. Additionally, additional instructions on lights in pantry and front porch will be reviewed and added to the house manual as soon as possible. I regret any frustration this may have caused. Currently, I illuminate various rooms and entrance area for after dark arrivals. Thanks again for staying and for providing feedback on your visit.

Very quiet and relaxing. She has thought of everything you could possibly need. Brought stuff from home we didn’t have to use because it was already there

I love to travel and I also love unique architecture. My home was built in 1929 and is categorized as City Cottage style. I am only the third owner. After being built in 1929 it was sold very recently after that. I suspect, but have no proof, that the market crash may have fo…
