We had a wonderful stay at Merry and her boyfriend Guy's home. Guy greeted us upon our arrival and kindly showed us around. The house was incredibly welcoming and cozy. It is decorated with a country elegance including a few pieces of Hillsdale history. My family instantly settled in. Oh and the bedrooms! In addition to being beautifully furnished, they have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Thank you for the well needed rest!

We had a great time at Merry's Hudson Valley Gem. Although we arrived late at night, she made it very easy to find the house and get ourselves situated. The house was everything we needed, very cozy. The lawn and garden are a great place to sit and have coffee. The house is very well situated near the Berkshires and close enough to the NY Hudson Valley attractions. We found great places to eat in Hillsdale.

We had a lovely time staying at Merry and Guy's home. They were very accommodating in our arrival (even as we ran later than expected due to traffic) and gave us some excellent recommendations for hikes, restaurants and other fun activities. The home is in a great location - only 15 minutes to Hudson and only 15 minutes into western MA, as well as just a 1 minute drive down the road to a grocery store and a few shops. We would definitely visit again!

We had a great stay at this property, ideal for a Southern Berkshire ski trip. Merry was a fantastic host, wonderful to communicate with even as plans and timing changed due to weather. Highly recommend!

My friends and I had a very last minute booking with Merry for New Year's Eve and she was so kind and helpful! The house is cute and the beds were really comfortable. We weren't there to ski, but went for a great long hike/walk at the Bash Bish Waterfall--totally perfect!

Merry's pictures does not do her house justice. It is super cozy and you get a feeling that many novels or master art pieces have been created in this house. All the furniture is hand picked and we felt right at home. There was even a cat that greeted us welcome when we arrived. In the morning the coffee brewer was ready with a packet of really good coffee and mugs conveniently place close by. We found a wonderful breakfast place about a mile west called Dutch treat. I sincerely hope Merry lets us come up for a visit again soon!!!

I am a retired NYC Special Education Teacher. My greatest joys in life are tending my gardens, entertaining friends/family, cooking gourmet and spending time with my animals. In the past, I had a bit of wanderlust. I traveled the world and met many interesting people. After all my travels, I've realized there's few places as beautiful as the eastern hills of Columbia County. Opening my home to guests now is like traveling . It provides a wonderful opportunity to meet new and interesting people.
