A stylish Victorian house offering a great comfortable base from which to explore London. Two double bedrooms available one with shower room. Use of the rest of the house including large kitchen and lounge. Large garden to relax in. Excellent transport nearby. Forty five minutes to central London.

The space

I've lived in my home for twenty years and have created a stylish, comfortable, colourful home. I have a passion for 1950s and have collected furniture and artworks from that era. The house has a large garden to relax in and is very near all amenities. Grocery shops, bus and train are all within walking distance. The nearest tube is Osterley on The Piccadilly Line from Heathrow into central London.
I live in the house and have one full time lodger. I'm a designer and have a very flexible working life. I have lived in London all my life and have an extensive knowledge of the quirky gems not to be missed.

There are two bedrooms available for rent. The price is for one bedroom.

Guest access

Guests have access to the whole house with its large rooms and garden.

Interaction with guests

I have always had a house where travelling friends and family have always been welcome. I'm used to sharing my home with others and take great delight in offering guests a warm and comfortable welcome to London.
I have a lounge with large screen TV. Wifi freely available.

My husband, two young girls ( under 10 years old) and I stayed at Monica's home in November 2015. Monica was a very gracious host and gave us good recommendations for restaurants and local (less touristy) family-friendly sites worth visiting, including Osterley Park and Kew Gardens. We stayed in the upper floor of her house. The setup was ideal since, with two bedrooms and a bathroom on that level, we were granted tremendous privacy. At the same time, we were still given full access to the rest of the house and made full use of her kitchen and dining room. We enjoyed the highly original and whimsical decor of her home. (I personally liked her Jane Austen-inspired living room by the entrance. As previous reviewers have already mentioned, her home is conveniently located to major public transit stations. We regularly took the Tube every day and the walking distance for us (with two young children) from her home to the underground station was about 12mins on foot. There is a railway station that is also walking distance. One very convenient aspect is that her home is only a 15min Tube ride away from Heathrow Airport. The surrounding neighborhood is quite lovely with a culturally diverse feel to it. There are a number of restaurants & pubs within walking distance and many more that are accessible by a 5min bus ride. All in all, our experience was quite positive and we would definitely recommend her home.

Monica is very creative and such a free spirit, it is reflected by her house. It was nice getting to know her. It was too bad she got sick while we were there. The place was very artsy, we enjoyed our stay at her place. It was a really good deal on price as well. It's very close (5 stops away) from Heathrow Airport and 40 minute-ish to central London. I would love to stay there again!
