Our cozy cabin is located under tall pine trees on a beautiful, northern lake where loons and eagles frequent. Wood Lake is easily commutable - 80 miles from the Twin Cities. Swim and fish off the dock or pontoon during the day, and sit in front of the stone fireplace at night. The Cabin has been completely remodeled, with a modern kitchen and new furnishings. It is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi with access to many streaming services. The Cardinal Cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat!

The space
This 3 bedroom cabin includes a stone fireplace and a deck overlooking the lake. The property has a private dock and guests will have access to a pontoon, paddle boards, and canoes. Next to your cabin, you have a paved patio, with an two propane fire tables and gas grill. There is a tiered rock perennial garden planted with over 150 blooming plants, with a water feature, behind the patio. The property also includes a paved driveway, perfect for off-street parking. The Cardinal Cabin welcomes dogs and includes an outside exercise cable for your pet.

Plenty of restaurants, shops, and golf courses are in the area. Only 10 minutes away, the Crex Meadows Wildlife Refuge is a 30,000 acre home to over 270 species of birds and 600 species of plants. Many hiking, skiing, and snowmobile trails also await exploration nearby. The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway is a great spot to canoe, kayak, hike, and fish. This area is perfect for the outdoor enthusiasts and nature-lovers alike!
