The space
Makolea is a quaint building with an old Hawaii feel. Just a one minute walk to the famous Kahaluu Beach Park for the best snorkeling, surfing, and swimming on the island! The bedroom has a brand new king size bed. Full kitchen with all the amenities. Condo is equipped with beach chairs and cooler. Enjoy!

Owners are born and raised on the Big Island and are happy to share information on surf schools, spas, and trips to take around the island. Just Ask!

Makolea is a 2 minute drive to the Keauhou Shopping Center. You have your choice of Japanese, Italian, Thai, Mexican or Hawaiian Restaurants. Shopping, Grocery Stores, and a movie theater as well! Catch the Kona Trolley all around Kailua-Kona for a $2 transfer fee. A fun way to see the town!

Other things to note
Hawaii is a tropical location and you will see ants, cockroaches, and geckos during your stay anywhere on the island. Do not leave out food, dirty dishes, or garbage or you will attract a lot of them! There is an active volcano on the Big Island that emits fumes called Vog. Weather is usually nice but please be aware of hurricanes, tsunamis, and tropical storms. Mosquito born diseases such as dengue and zika are your responsibility to be aware of. Travel at your own Risk!
