A beautiful riad with so so many great areas all over the rooftop to sit back and relax, sunbathe, or watch the sunset. Great service at the restaurant throughout the day and night, very helpful staff and our room was super pretty. Yummy breakfast everyday (cakes, pancakes, pastries, fruit, tea, coffee, yoghurt, jam etc) and a great menu for the rest of the day. And really nice wine! Excellent aircon in our room which was essential as we were visiting in July. Only downside was that our hot water did not work so we used the spa shower all week but they did try and fix it and the wifi is very up and down but we were advised that the area (Medina) being very old is not great for either plumbing nor internet strength. This is a perfect place to enjoy being in the heart of the action of the traditional old town but within your own little oasis. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay within the Medina

A v pleasant Riad that was well located to the central Medina. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a nice selection of fruit/breads. Top tip: remember to ask for the telephone no. for the Riad, as we struggled to find the door from the main road at night. Thanks, S

Would highly recommend Riad Dar El Aila. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great and the rooms lovely. It is decorated in traditional Moroccan style, with several original features. On one of our requested dates the riad was full so we were offered the first night at Riad Edward (a sister riad), which is equally lovely and charming. Would have happily stayed there for the duration too

Very nice Riad. Well run and staff are very friendly. Staff are attentive but always looking for an opportunity to sell you more, just be firm with them in the first instance and they will understand. Highly recommend the spa treatments.

Amadou was very welcoming and offered us complimentary mint tea and moroccan pastries upon arrival which was a lovely touch. The pool at the hotel isn't really suitable for swimming, but he offered to take us to a neighbouring Riad which has a bigger pool if we wanted to swim. Breakfast was provided for free every day which was a selection of bread, cakes, fruit and moroccan pancakes with tea/coffee and fresh orange juice. Lovey breakfast, but can get a bit monotonous after the third day, but it was free so can't complain. The location of the Riad is perfect for exploring the souks (markets) only a five minute walk, and you can either walk through these markets to reach the main square (around 15-20 mixtures- but shaded pathways) or walk another road avoiding the souks which is slightly quicker, but with no shade and nothing interesting near by. ( Overall good location, but if travelling in hotter months, the walk is a bit tiresome if not acclimatised to heat) Staff are available 24 hours a day to answer any questions, book taxis and excursions etc and are all very welcoming, friendly and happy to help. All towels, shower gel and shampoo are provided in rooms, which is another nice touch if travelling with a liquids limit on your hand luggage. Overall a beautiful Riad in the centre of the medina, lovely hosts and fantastic free extras such as the tea on arrival and breakfast. I would definitely recommend this Riad and I would have no hesitation in returning.
