Montezuma is a lovely laid-back "hippie-esque" town in a secluded area of Costa Rica lined by pristine virgin beaches popular for surfing. It's arguably the only beach town in the region whose character remains unspoiled by the masses. You can hike to the waterfalls and go "beach hopping" to those beaches only accessible by foot or by horse. There's a quaint organic farmer's market on Saturday mornings that sells local organic produce, cheese products, baked goods, arts & crafts, and otherwise-hard-to-find products like kombucha, coconut oil, almond butter, almond milk, gluten-free cookies and homemade vegan hot sauce.

Hello! I'm Carlos and I was born and raised in the city of San Jose, but I've been calling Montezuma home for the last 32 years. I love this town, I know everyone and everyone knows me. You can always find me hanging out near my front door having a coffee (at any time of day!) with guests or local characters. I'm a father to a wonderful 32-year-old daughter who lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and helps me out with the online part of my business (like making this profile for me on AirBnB!). I've been to Paris and the United States to visit her even though I'm scared of flying :)
