Welcome to the Gage Park bachelor apartment! This self-contained unit is steps away from Hamilton's beautiful Gage Park and a short walk to trendy Vintage Coffee, Coven vegan grocery store and Capitol Bar. Enjoy staying in a quiet neighbourhood while being a 10 min drive or bus ride to James St downtown Hamilton. This unit has central air and heating, a dedicated parking spot and all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable.

The space
The apartment has a separate eat-in kitchen, and a spacious, combined living/bedroom as well as a three-piece bathroom with a shower and bathtub. The apartment has a queen-sized bed, a 3 seater couch and wardrobe.

We try to make this space as comfy and cozy as possible but it’s still a basement, we have priced the apartment accordingly. Some things to consider based on conversations with previous guests:

- If you are taller than 6'1" then the space might not be as comfortable as possible for you, there is also a lower bulk head above the bed, this shouldn't be an issue because the bed is underneath. We do not offer refunds for low ceiling height as its clearly indicated in this description.
- This is an old house and we live above the basement, we try to be as mindful as possible but there will be some sound when we move around on the first floor, there is a noise machine above the bed and ear plugs are encouraged if you're a light sleeper
- There is a backyard and BBQ but guests do not have access to either of these things
- There is absolutely no smoking or vaping (weed or cigarettes) inside the apartment or on the property
- We have a dog. When we have guests staying here he does not use the backyard, you will likely not see him during your stay! He does bark when people knock on the door though, we keep him in check and its usually not for long
- Guests are not permitted to bring pets
- Please be sure to inform food delivery to come to the basement entrance or meet them out front. We are not responsible for sorting out your food.
- There is no microwave or washer and dryer in the apartment
- This is a basement and there is the occasional spider, we keep the space as clean and dust free as possible but they do appear from time to time!

You'll be staying in the Blakely area of lower Hamilton. Very quiet and close to Gage park but also close enough to downtown that you can be there in 10 mins by car or bus. Coffee, drinks and food are a short walk away.
