Adam was a good host. We were met by one of his friends on arrival as Adam was out of town but got all the information we needed. The flat is quite small but comfortable and very clean and well located. I would recommend it as long as you will spend most of your time outside the flat.

Great communication ahead of our visit and we knew exactly what to do and who to contact. However, we were met by someone completely different whose name we had not been told (despite calling from the airport 40 minutes earlier) who was just sitting on the street when we arrived. We took a gamble and went with him and he showed us to our apartment which was exactly as shown in the photos - which are flattering, size-wise. However, the apartment had everything we needed , was comfortable and was in a safe neighbourhood, with bus stops at the end of the road and plenty of taxis passing by. Noise certainly travels between apartments so if you don't mind that I can highly recommend the apartment. The Superintendent was very helpful.

A great location, we loved the East Village and Adam's apartment was a comfortable and secure base for us. Lots of great bars and restaurants to try within a few blocks. There was pretty nearly always someone around the place if you needed assistance, which fortunately, we didn't really. Apart from leaving our luggage safely for a later collection, as our flight was in the evening, which was happily arranged for us. We'd definitely recommend and would stay there again if we return to New York, which we'd love to do!

Adam seems to have several apartments in the same block. Ours was compact neat and clean. Bed linen, towels etc were of good quality. We knew there was no wash basin in the restroom area but it did seem a little odd cleaning teeth etc in the kitchen sink. This was not helped by being unable to plug the sink so that it held water. This also made it hard for washing dishes. The shower had a certain amount of mold in the grouting and this could do with attention. The bottom of the shower curtain was grubby. The cover on the water trap in the shower was loose and kept coming off. We could not read in bed without the main light on as there was only one bedside lamp and this was very dim with a dark shade. I would stress that these complaints are minor. We enjoyed our stay and it is an exciting area of New York for a holiday.

Response from Adam:
IF I had been made aware of any of this at the time the issues would have been dealt with immediately. If the sink strainer was not working I would have bought a new one on the spot. The same with the shower curtain which honestly are changed and/or washed on a regular basis. MY description page clearly points out there is only one sink and it is the kitchen so having to brush your teeth there should not come as a surprise? The shower drain is not permanently attached to the shower base so it can removed if the drain needs to be cleaned. I have been leasing for over 35 years and this complaint is a first. Maybe they were dancing in the shower???

Perfect little studio apartment that had everything we needed. Adam and Judy were so welcoming and easy to communicate with, and made generous allowances for our late check-in and check-out. The location could not have been more perfect -- in a hip district, close to the subway, with lots of sweet little galleries, shops, and eating spots to explore on foot. The apartment itself was very clean, well-equipped with a compact kitchen, a comfortable bed, beautiful courtyard with fig tree, fresh towels and bed linens, and best of all -- air conditioning! A definite oasis after busy days and long nights out. Thank you, Adam and Judy, for such a pleasant stay!

Hi, That's Charley looking out onto 12th Street. If you decide to take the apartment you will see him around a lot. I was born on this block and after raising my Family in the suburbs I returned about 15 years ago. I own this property which has a front and rear building separ…
