The space

This spacious '70's light-filled warehouse is located in one of Melbournes' most exciting hotspots....Fitzroy!
The large windows offer unrestrained views of Old Fitzroy, New Fitzroy, the CBD, stars at night, bats en route to their dinner, wandering clouds....and a sky garden of strawberries (in Summer).
The warehouse is a stand alone building, giving it fantastic views-open sky, and privacy.
This art filled second floor (four flights up)) Fitzroy warehouse loft is nestled in a vibrant bohemian yet quiet nook in between Brunswick St, Smith St and Johnston Street and set up so you can feel instantly like you are living like a local.
Spacious: easily fits up to six, even seven people. Large windows pour in natural daylight and 240 degree views.
The bedroom has a Queen size bed with bed linen/pillows from eco/ fair trade super store Blessed Earth for a divine sleep,.feel the difference.
There's ample storage for all your things, extra bedding/blankets.
the click clack couch becomes a (firm) bed, easily sleeping one adult. its firm . There a plump single wool futon on a wooden base suitable for an adult or child.
Opposite is a sofa which becomes a Queen size futon bed and another set of shelves for your storage.
Most of the beds are now fitted with Blessed Earth Linen , including the Portacot. (there's an extra floor futon for use only in the rare instance of a 7 person reservation.)
Original art gracing the walls provide a peek into the world (and eyes) of an artist. Most of the pictures are painted/drawn from life or in situ.

The kitchen/generous lounge is open plan. The north facing Kitchen has generous bench space and provides natural light all day. In Autumn and Winter, sun pours in providing a fossil free source of warmth as you eat your breakfast or lunch.

The original industrial lino tile flooring is charming and old - some scuffs and marks remain..adding to the rustic industrial character of this older style inner city artist building. A great spot in the very funky Fitzroy. Had some last minute changes with flight and had to rework key details; Kt was super accommodating and easy to deal with. Would recommend this place highly!

KT was a lovely host whose directions and friendly advice were much welcomed. We all enjoyed staying at her place and would gladly do so again. The apartment is wonderfully eclectic and nuanced, aspects which we appreciated greatly. Thanks so much KT!

My partner and our 18 year old son spent a fortable beds, very nice cotton sheets, a good toaster, morning sunlight, easy walking/ tram rides to everywhere we wanted to go. And a delightful café just metres away, Lively atmosphere of inner-city grunge and an arty-studenty vibe in graffiti-covered laneways. …But if Zen minimalism and clean new surfaces are your thing, maybe look elsewhere. On the other hand if you are comfortable among a cobbled-together clutter of op-shop treasures, trinkets, artworks, memorabilia, pot plants, kitsch and hand-me-down furniture, KT’s much-loved abode could be just the place for you. ( She moved out of home while we were there. We watered the potplants as requested) Plenty of room for us all with the separate spaces - but I reckon would be a very intimate pyjama-party with seven.

I'm a performer and visual artist.
I get excited about art, nature, health, travel and things such as how do plants clean the air inside your house.....(not that i sit back while they clean the apartment)
i am currently growing a rockmelon in my window garden (is this even possible?)
I have traveled/performed all over the world with Melbourne theatre company Snuff Puppets.
Having lived/travelled abroad has helped me understand what makes a traveller feel welcome, safe and comfortable.
I've been a Fitzroy local for 14 years, I love it's central location with access to everything by foot, bike, tram or car.
Being a host is a fun way to connect with people !
